Hey everyone, I haven't been around to the C, very much, and just wanted to wish everyone, a Very Merry Christmas and Safe Happy Holidays. Reason I haven't been online much, is because I have been nursing a brand new back injury, which has for the most part, kept me off my feet. When I first was injured, and the initial X-Rays were taken with my new Primary Doctor, he thought I had a Compressed Spinal Fracture, which sounded right, because of the severe pain I have been in. After MRI's were taken at the Orthopedic Office, the results showed, I had 2 Herniated discs in my lower lumbar area, with my L5-S1 disc being the worse of the two. Back in January 2006, I had the same kind of back injury but with the L4-S5 disc being the worse of the two. That injury resulted in back surgery, which made me feel great after recovery. I have already gotten Back Injections in the L5-S1 area, with Steroids and Cortisone. The injections helped me get off the Morphine I was on, and made me feel great for two whole days, but then my condition worsened. The withdrawals following the morphine were also a very bad experience as I have never done drugs, and I came to find out Morphine, is no different than Heroin. It scared me nonetheless. Now I am pushing myself to do things, because of the holidays, and to try and help make my family smile as well as myself and all. Come Dec 29th, I go back to the Orthopedic Doctor to find out what route we shall take next, which may end up being surgery again. Anyways, not trying to get any folks down or anything, Just wanted to share what was going on since I rarely post. Hey Gabe, Merry Christmas, buddy. Your mom has kept Maureen and I informed with your condition. Glad to see you being active again. Hope the Doc has a good direction for you so that you will not have to endure the herniated disk an more. Our prayers are with you, Gabe.
TNVIPER - Thanks for the kind words, it means a lot! 1bad4dr - Yeah, my Mother tells me, whenever she sees you and Maureen at her work, she even mentioned you were going to rat her out about something she received at work, lol. But yeah, I sure hope the Doc, does find a solution for me, as there has been many a night where I have been hard on myself, because I am unable to contribute to this family, and take care of my responsibilities. My Parents have helped me a ton, and my Girlfriend has been extremely helpful to me, and has been helping me because of my condition. Because of my feelings towards her, and acknowledging what she has done for me, my Father, helped me get her a Very Nice Promise Ring and Earrings for Christmas. I am wanting to settle down with her. If anything, my Girlfriend and my Parents, both deserve a nice dinner, for the way they have helped me through this situation.
