We are excited to be able to offer a new drone free cat-back from the great folks at MBRP! Their systems have a throaty, muscle car sound and now there is an option for those Challenger owners who don't want to hear it inside the car.

Please post or PM me if you are interested in this system and would like to be on the list for our intro pricing. As soon as we have pricing and ETA from MBRP, we'll be taking orders for the new system at a one-time-only special price ... and it will be a fantastic opportunity!!

Here is the official press release from MBRP with pics ...

As one of the first manufactures to design and build performance cat-back systems for the late model Challengers, we came up with some huge performance gains. We also had a very retro style sound which really turns heads with its throaty, aggressive rumble. We have spent over a year listening to our customer feedback about what a Challenger owner looks for in the ideal performance exhaust system…I’ve been told time and time again that if we could build a system that sounds like our does, without the 6th gear drone, we would have the best system available on the Challenger market.

Our design team, installers, and techs have been hard at work on the latest design from the MBRP performance exhaust muscle car line. We have built a hybrid system using our classic muscle car look and sound, combined with the tuning tubes we have been able to eliminate the drone some complained of in other brands and our prior design. This system has a few differences from the old set up that makes it truly unique.

We designed a brand new muffler with cross over chambers on both the inlet and outlet ends of the shell. These open chambers allow the exhaust banks to mix eliminating the flutter some may have heard on their true dual after market systems. In addition to the new cross over center muffler, we have incorporated “tuning tubes†to absorb the low frequencies which are most apparent between 1500-1800RPM in the late model HEMI Challengers.

The tuning tubes work almost in reverse to what happens when you blow on a bottle. As the volume inside the bottle changes, it harmonizes at different frequencies causing resonance or the “hum†that is produced. The “drone†in a challenger is no different and we have used these principals to produce tuning tubes that work effectively to remove those frequencies that cause drone on the highway.

Here at MBRP inc, we’re all about performance…But quality of sound, and driver comfort also come in a very close second. We think with this new Challenger system you can really get the best of both worlds. Performance gains of over 20RWHP and virtually no exhaust noise on the highway. We stand behind the 3†tubing and our straight through muffler designs for the impressive dyno numbers these cars produce.

Systems are going to be available for both auto and six speed R/T and SRT-8 cars.
