I asked and was told, flat out, "LX and GC only". Check the LX Nationals thread. What, exactly, was that truck "exhibiting"? Aside from 13.8's.
Exhibiting what a 392 stroker can do in a truck. Instead of getting MAD and having the feathers bent, you guys may be more productive in trying to make next years event include ALL Mopar sleds. If the Promoters want to allow a truck or a Viper or someing other than an LX or WK, then that is their choice. Will that decision help them gain spectaotors next year? More than likely not. Sorry that that one truck's run ruined your weekend.
And just so you know, I really thought the LX& "Beyond" should have included ALL Mopar vehicles, but I did not have a say in the matter.
I'm not bent in the least. Just confused. We were told one thing, then right before our very eyes the exact opposite happened. I understand- completely- the basis of the event. I wasn't expecting anything more than what was stated by TurboBuckeye and Cherry. It's just a little confusing. That's all. Ron- conversely, if you want to do the "what a 392 stroker can do in a truck", you could do "what a Viper engine could do shoe-horned into an LX or GC". Works both ways. :grin:

We are not trying to be the Mopar Nationals. So the every Mopar thing will not happen. :no: Everybody knows the GCSRT8 runs the same engine as the LX's so nobody raises an eyebrow when they see one at and LX event. We invited a HEMI truck to see what the response would be from the LX community. However, (Kevan, bee0912) give us 16-32 HEMI trucks that will commit to coming out and running and I will talk to CHERRY about maybe having a race class for you next year.
I can get you 100+ HEMI-powered trucks, and 40+ Viper-powered trucks.... ....but then you'd have to change the event name. :grin: Like I said, I'm not pissed at all. I was just confused: after being told "No trucks", I turn around and see a truck run down the track.
Nah, that would just add even more to the "BEYOND" side of the LX & BEYOND NATIONALS. :grin: The great thing about the event name is everyone understands its a LX event but we could add just about any other Mopar vehicle to the mix that the LX community would like to see there. I am not opposed to having Vipers there too, but a 9-9.5 second Viper kinda puts a 11-sec LX to shame. Seriously though, I understand what you are saying......:friends: Keep the ideas and input coming. How does the LX community feel about having HEMI trucks and Vipers at the event??? Let us know.
