not really a big fan of having something glued in. maybe if they made the correct bulb.

I think I've found a solution for the glued in bulb. BF Xenon has a H13 bulb that they said plugs into the socket better. I'm waiting to hear back from them to order a couple. I will say that when they were working they make backing up a breeze!

Sorry for the thread jack. Reverse HIDs rock, but one of my bulbs broke from the homemade base and melted some of the taillight housing.

Is this what you're thinking Ralph?

too funny, that's basically what the dabears kit is, a regular HID ballast with the bulb epoxied to a plastic ring so you can silicone it to the housing.

The kit i got had a bulbs with a ring SUPER GLUED to it that was weaker than peanut brittle

The bulbs barely fit into the rings at all either as the bulbs are waaay too small

Not sure what they were thinking

Heres what i did with an HID kit i had laying around

I thought it was a waste of money too. Matt at Dabears is local to me so he used my car to test them out and I got them for next to nothing. It turns out they're really great if you back your car in a lot. I pretty much always back into parking spots and the HIDs really help with seeing the lines and whatever is behind you at night.

I think they have their benefit especially if you have dark window tint and back our or into an area with low or no lighting I dont always trust my parking senors and our backup camera is not exactly top notch.

Ide love to have them...3% tint on all windows, and 20% painted tails makes it tough for me. I alwasy have to roll the window down regardless, but the extra light output would be nice, and my wife wouldn't bitch so much that she can't see. :)

I talked to Nick from BF Xenon today. He is going to mock up a set on his Charger and see if it works. If it does, we're going to have some excellent fit, no glue reverse HIDs soon. :)
