Two roll races from about 50 to 80. It was fairly close, but he was pulling a little each time. I had three guys in the car with me, Enemy just had the lovely wife. Rematch when I get a couple mods!!!
You should be able to take the Lightning (stock) with ease but having 3 dead weights in the car probably held you back.....it might also be noted that the lightning is easy and cheap to make faster. They are a high 13s vehicle stock but $3K can put them in the 11s...
Sorry, I forgot to add that he's modded to 17 pounds of boost if I remember correctly. Yeah you are right about the easy modding
Good times Eric, truck is pushing about 14#'s of boost (8#stock, 6# pulley) it also weigh's around 2.5 tons lol. At our altitude Lightnings run between 14.5-14.8, my best so far has been a 13.5. And you're right about it being easy and cheap to mod with a lower pulley and tune but it can only go so far before having to build a shortblock. And fyi TNVIPER some spray/cam etc doesn't cost an arm and a leg and that would take Eric's car into the mid/low 12's. I need to race you in the wife's CSRT8 so I can seen how much of a difference that predator makes. :usflag:
I dont relate spraying to modding...yeah, cheap HP but just doesnt do it for me...not that there is anything wrong with it if that's what rocks your boat...

lol I spell it how I see, and since you are always in my rearview mirror, I have no idea how spell LightEning... muahaha And so you know, Joe, M and I were out Saturday night (11:00 ish lol) had some Super Snake (with a Kenne Bell and tune) snake and returned home. I must say though, the Snake was dead was dead even, other than me catching 2nd gear first and taking a 1/2 a fender jump. Otherwise, dead even. Apparently the Snake owner used to own a Lightning back when I had the Paxton blower and he lost miserably. lol He wanted pay back but didn't know I had an engine and blower upgrade. haha Very nice guy though, with a beautiful Snake.
Haha funny stuff here...tell you what, being a half car back at WOT, we had the windows down and Enemy's blower was so loud! We were in the perfect place to hear that blower whine! I don't know anything about NOS and probably wont go there, but yeah I've been talking with this guy who is going to throw in a SRT Max cam from Inertia. $1k with tune before install which sounds really good to me, if only Hemi31 takes a west coast tour...LOL Kind of waiting to see how this other guy's goes before I get a lot of confidence. I lost to two Mustangs at the strip that were .4 quicker so it would be nice to close that gap, that and a close loss to a Lightning and I'll have to kill myself if I lose to another Ford! No, 1k is everything except install - which can be another 1k easy. It would probably be more than that at Motiva, apparently there's a guy named Nate who Yearwood uses as their Dodge expert, anyone know him???
I think you can't spell Lightning because (A) of your age (B) your eye sight :grin: No surprise that you pulled a Lightning when stock (depending on year) they make between 360-380 rwhp. Your car was easily making over 140hp more than the Lightning. I can only imagine what your car would do to a Lightning now lol. Are you sure the guy in the Super Snake was racing? Maybe he was trying to check Maureen out LOL. Was it blue with white racing stripes?
Tell you what......if you are paying over $1k for the install on a cam only I'll get you a list of the tools I would need(pretty basic) you get me a ticket out of Burlington Vermont round trip and I'll fly out on a Friday and back on a Sunday and put your cam in.I just need a couch to crash on for 2 nights......the whole thing would probably cost you less than the shop.
