We have gotten a number of requests for an install of the line lock so put one on the Challenger today. For anyone who goes to the track, this is a mod you will want to install for better burnouts and minimized wear and tear on your rear brakes. SLP's line lock kit is an easy install with everything custom fitted and ready to bolt on. Here's a picture of the super clean installation of the lines and solenoid. We ran everything as hidden and factory looking as possible. Right now the switch is mounted under the dash as we'll be installing a custom console plate with the line lock and nitrous switches. Here's how it works: Press the brake pedal and flip the brake-control solenoid switch. Remove your foot from the pedal, and the solenoid maintains line pressure to the front brakes until the switch is released. This makes it easy to heat the rear tires in the burnout box, while minimizing wear and tear on your car's rear brake components. This kit is custom-fitted and is fully compatible with the factory anti-lock braking and traction-control systems. It includes a waterproof electrical solenoid, an activation switch, plug-in wires, CNC-bent steel lines with correct OE fittings, mounting hardware, and detailed installation instructions. OMG this line lock is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, what a killer tool, this is just insane! I tested it outside the shop and it's so smokey even the shop is full of smoke. Pics to follow ... and another test during the day for better pics, he he.

Pretty awesome! Not to be Johnny Raincloud, but...... In order to be street legal, the brake lights must be on when the line lock is engaged. If you need help with that, let me know. Sorry for getting technical in a "smoke 'em if ya got 'em" thread.
The cop will probably just give you an "unsafe vehicle" ticket and tow your car to the impound. Psssst...it's "reckless", like the Bryan Adams album.
In my case it is "Wreck" "Less" Wreckless lol! Honestly I don't see anywhere you would need the line lock to be street legal...anywho...back to the main event!
Line locks aren't only used at the drag strip. Some use them for "hill holding": when you're at a stop light on a hill in a vehicle with a manual transmission and the clown behind you pulled so close you couldn't fit a politician's excuse between his front bumper and your rear bumper, you engage the line lock/hill holder to keep you from ruining his day. You let out the clutch a little to start forward movement, then release the line lock.
Anyway ................. this is a business forum, I believe? So, this line lock is on MY car, and I assure you it isn't for street use. I don't street race, and would never engage this system other than testing in our private shop area or at the track. As for needing the brake lights to be lit, I have no idea to be honest as I'd never, ever suggest or condone this being used on public roads.
You want to have real fun... Turn the front wheels about 1/3 way right or left. Set the line lock. Start the burn out. Make sure you are in a large parking lot. By the way...how fast does it release? Is it like..."right now".
Yeah, the roll out is nice. It doesn't just instantly release, so there is a slight roll-out to it. That last one was only with one wheel spinning, ha ha!!
