This car is not for great gas mileage.
Is there really that much difference in miles per gallon between SXT, RT and from RT to SRT?

We have the 8 LXs, one SXT 3.5L, 4 05 Rt Magnums, 1 SRT Magnum and two 06 300SRT Chryslers and all get pretty much the same mileage IF driven normally. The ONLY one that is not like the others is my supercharged 300SRT and on the highway, I got 20.5 last trip.

    I've had a 3.5L V6 300 and a 6.1L V8 300... Both 2006 models... Would get 7-10MPG more with the V6 on average.

Gas mileage in general is a problem, unless you get a hybrid -

I think mostly gas mileage is going to be a function of how the car is driven. With all the muti-cylinder shutdown technology in place today, I don't think you will see too much of a difference in normal v6 and v8's. However the performance v8 will probably be a different story.

OFF TOPIC: we bought a 2003 Dodge Dakota for the Mrs, because she always wanted one, since we had to sell the first one we bought for her years ago. I bought the v6 for the gas mileage, 'cause it's a family car, not a work thing. I regret that. I didn't even bother to look at the EPA gas estimates...in that truck, the difference from a v6 to v8 is ONE mile per gallon. :wallbash:

    DING DING DING DING DING

J wins the prize here! haha

My supercharged SRT8 can get 24mpg (have done so on a drive back from DC) when I am super easy on it.

    Or it can get 3mpg.

But they didn't make Challengers back in 2006. Wasn't it in 2009 when Challenger re-appeared?

I wouldn't want that MDS because they are having problems with the 5.7 with automatic with MDS blowing timing chains while cars are on freeway.
Whichever v8 you get get the 6 spd. manual.

I havent heard this (which wouldnt be unusual), but I have had MDS on my trucks which run the 5.7 for well over 140,000 miles with no issues.

    LOL :gotmail:

My 2009 Ram 1500 was a Laramie 4x4 Crew Cab Short Bed.

The motor is essentially the same across vehicles, its just "tuned" differently in the Ram. There are some other minor things but the overall motor is not meaningfully different.

The truck made it through 131,000 miles before I traded it in for my current one (2013 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn).

The first one is an OEM image from google search haha

The second one is a totally custom "home made" rumble bee.

And its just a normal dodge ram with an appearance package on it.

It should be noted, there is no such thing as a "new i.e. 2014" rumble bee lol
