I went to Vortech on Thursday to meet up with Chris from Vortech and pick up the Jeep. First off, lemme start by saying that Chris Whalley and the other peeps I met there were extremely professional and customer oriented. Great group. Now about the Supercharged Jeep......all I can say is that everything Paulie has said about this kit is TRUE. In the simple words..IT'S F'N INSANE! I actually kind of got a headache after the first time I hit it lol, I guess I didn't expect it. This thing tears out of the hole like none other, and the get up and go is amazing. The drivability on this kit is awesome as well, smooth and basically OEM. Once you hit the pedal the S/C kicks in and you take off like a rocket. Just like my bro's Techco, I did lose some boost out hear midway between sea level and the moon, but I hope to call Chris tomorrow and see about another pulley. I'll see if I can make a vid sometime this week.
Very cool Snehal. Now, get the Jeep down here and give me a ride. lol If you add a smaller pulley to compensate the lose of boost, you will need another tune as well. Just so you know. Yea, it SUCKS living up here in the nose bleed section. hahahaha
Yes sir, I plan on getting a tune for here and keep the one for sea level. Gotta do this to Brian's car as well. Hmmm maybe a drive up to NorCal might be in the cards after Spring Fling.
I drove straight through the night Hal, stopped in Barstow and then in Flagstaff. I might have to make a trip out your way before Spring Fling, I'll definitely let you know. We can trade cars for a day!
What are the trim on these units? Why are Jeeps responding so well to these superchargers? I have seen the results from the LX guys and yeah they get ok numbers, but numbers you expect and experiences you expect from adding a supercharger. However with the GC guys all I am hearing is "MIND BLOWING" "AMAZING" "BALLS TO THE WALL" So I am curious
AWD is the biggest factor, Chris. Damn things already launch like a rocket. Add the S/C and they launch like 5 rockets..
