Today I was highly involved in the installing of my swaybars and swaybar end links on the 300. And in that process, I found out I had two broken wheel studs. So I discovered a lot, in removing the calipers, rotors, etc. And because of the issues I've had recently with the fuel rails, I learned a ton about plumbing. As much as these things are frustrating, and sometimes a PITFA to deal with, in the end I'm grateful. I feel like I really understand a lot more about my rides!! Just wanted to share my excitement!! Next up.....Aeroforce gauges, wideband, and motor mounts install on the Charger (within the next two weeks)!!!
as long as you learned something... Cars are a blast, especially when you have some sort of understanding of them and how a car operates. Good for you Chase.
That cliche about learning more from adversity is true. Not that you should aim to fail, but if you take away the right attitude, its can be a good thing.
I hear ya buddy. I probably learned more the 2 weekends I was at Chris's house in MD doing my motor/fuel system/nitrous/meth/supercharger than i have ever in my life. You can talk/read about it all you want but to get the appreciation for it, you have to get in and do it. Now your gonna be fixing things all over.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2a1z4iFc9o
a term i learned in college........"positive conflict"........ seems you are a perfect example of this chase!! after all the frsutration, you take a positive from the experience and that is the important part. i did not become a skilled legmaker by never making a mistake or running into issues.
You are so correct Tam, lol. It's funny, because tackling the first broken wheel stud, took an hour and a half. But what I learned from it, and the process. The second one literally only took 30 minutes, lmao!!! The attitude and confidence was TOTALLY different. And you guys are all correct. Thanks for the support y'all!!!
