iPod docking/ speakers???

Maybe not as portable as you need but they rock. They are more like small studio monitors than the typical mp3 setup. They do have an iPod adapter base which also charges the iPod too. They play very loud without distortion and you have the ability to separate the speakers as far away from each other as you want, which I think really helps the sound. I get the impression that they are probably hand assembled by some guy in his garage, pretty high quality for the price.

I have the Apple iPod Hi-Fi (really not bad sounding) and a Bose set up with two small speakers and a sub (forgot the name of it but sounds a little better than the Hi-Fi). I think that the AudioEngine5 is superior to both of those.
