I had Justin powder coat the front calipers and the valve covers for me a week ago. He had a special on powder coating in March...seems like it was about $200 for the valve covers (exchange) and maybe another $200 for the calipers. I was installing Stinkers steel braid lines (oil cooler and front brake lines) and since I was there decided to do the calipers...and hell since I couldn't drive without calipers...got the valve covers done too. I want full steel braid in the engine compartment sooner or later...Stinker is about to have power steering lines and air conditioning lines then he is starting on the heater and radiator lines I think. Just doing my best to stimulate the economy with Christine's money!
Valve covers look GREAT, Roy! I can't wait to see them in person. Tony's a little late on the heater hoses: http://www.srtconnection.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11397 (Yep....I was the first one to do real AN fittings directly to the Viper engine water pump. Thank you very much.)
Kevan, I would have given up if I hadn't read your DIY...that rear bolt on the passenger side is a PIA. When I saw your comment saying that, I went to bed and got up with a better attitude and had it in 15 minutes. I knew it wasn't just me!
I'm gonna have to :bsn that part. I know for a fact you don't sleep! LOL What wasn't shown in the DIY article was me sitting in the engine bay, contorted into some crazy Kama Sutra position, cussing like a drunken sailor trying to get that MF'er out.
Yes, that is just what it took...my wife saw me laying across the engine and it confirmed for her that I really, really love my truck! By the way, I need a much smaller throttle body, much, much...
