I seriously doubt you'll get a public response from them Ron, but I sure hope this gets settled and stays out of court. Right is right, and if they don't own up, that's where it would be if it were me.

Go here for the cam overlap discussion

Now if I could just figure out how to copy/move selected posts from this thread to that thread and put them in the order I wanted there would be more to start with... but it's off and running by itself anyway.

Sorry but if it were me first call I would make is to the company to try and rectify this. Second call would be to a lawyer, no bullshit no fucking around give them a chance and then go for blood. Start pushing for a judgement or settlement don't really care which.

Hi again everyone. :) IMHO, My experience watching Aric tune my Mark, and also other well known tuners over the years, while tuning the a/f in on a FI motor, there is a horsepower/torque dyno pull that usually has the car somewhere near the limit, and then followed by another pull or two to safely dial it in. The latter pulls usually have a fatter a/f, and result in lower hp/tq numbers.

I know with my car, I have a copy of the best dyno numbers pull out of the tuning session, but it is not the same tune I was sent home with. I was sent home with a much fatter tune, and I would not have it any other way. I have a very large pile of money invested in my car, and Aric neutered it accordingly and responsibly, and sent me happily on my way with a fat tune and my "trophy" dyno pull sheet in hand.

I am sure you guys already knew this, but just wanted to point this out since I did not read it in the thread. Go ahead and ask your favorite tuner, and see what they say. :) Take care guys! :)

Mike, yes that is primarily true, but you must understand, the modern hemi is NOT a Ford or LSx motor and the computer system is unlike any other system out there.

If you look at the top end of that dyno, you will see the stock market effect. That is NOT good.

Also, when "Four" pistons go south, this is a "Tuning" issue, "Not" an OEM ringland issue. Sorry man, but myself and others are very familiar with modern hemi melt downs. Especially "Me". Again, the tune is what killed Howards pistons and the sooner Injected Engineering excepts this and takes responsibility, the better off everyone will be.

And yes, I recently went through a similar situation. The difference is my guys stepped up to the plate, took responsibility and made right by me. I highly suggest that IE does the same, and soon.

I think my point needs clarification. The dyno sheet posted might not represent the actual tune that was in the car when the motor let go. So, that graph just might be one of many different scenarios during the tuning process. My guess - probably the one that showed the highest hp/tq numbers.

No sir. I have seen several of the Dyno's of this car. The one shown was the final pull before handing the car to the customer.

Of course dyno sheets are a bit difficult to know exactly what's going on with the tune since pertinent information is not visible, it still remains that the tune was the cause of the piston failures...

If you are as knowledgeable as you seem to be, you can not deny this? Of course I do not expect you to answer this statement and I fully understand why. :)

Respectfully, There is no mention of this being the "final delivery pull" in this post, and I do not know how you came to your conclusion that it is. I would believe IE would know for sure, since I have seen my file of every numbered pull they ever made on the car.

I just tried to share my experience of how the dyno sheet does not necessarily mean it represents what is in the car when it leaves the shop, and still stand by what I said as being true for me.

Yes, I know there is no mention of it in this thread, that is why I stated I have "Seen" several of Howards Dyno pulls from IE.

I would LOVE to hear IE's story, but I know that will never happen.

lol how many dyno screenshots do you see with a "final delivery pull" in the notes? cmon man, either youre an utter noobie to modding cars or youre absolutely blind in your fanboism.

shops email you dyno sheets to show your vehicles progress in their dyno sessions, they obviously emailed howard this screenie as some sort of accomplishment. seeing how badly the car was running with the A/F, i would tend to think these guys are either retarded or just wanted to blow up an engine.

This one with the peaks "cleaned up" was handed to me on the spot at the end of the dyno tuning session not fifteen minutes after the one previously posted. This is the second and only other one done.I always prefered to show the other one for the added hp it shows.

I am still waiting for Injected Engineering to make good on this.
there has been a very limited amount of conversation comming from them which, at this point, seems to be a stalling tactic , hoping this issue will die down.
For my part, it will only become more intense untill a resolution is reached.
