Your experience from several years ago with M taught me to be careful...I give you credit for me finding a very competent and ethical tuner..... Opportunest posters like you taught me to steer clear of who you bragg on..:thongue2:
Do you think it is right for the OP to post this same thread all over the internet? Just google the thread title. That is how I found this site. IMHO that is wreckless, and slanderous type behavior. I am a customer of Injected Engineering, and wanted to share my experience with everyone, just like the OP. I may not own a 300, but I have spent the past 2 years watching Injected like a hawk while they built my car, and I stand by what I said earlier. They have had my car apart more times than I can count, so I think I can contribute more to this thread than most of you when it comes to their work. Here is what Aric did to my car. I love it http://www.superrod.com/Media/PublicationsArticle/SR_0808_5.0StrokerBuild_2.pdf http://www.superrod.com/Media/PublicationsArticle/SR_0810_5LiterModMotor_2.pdf
Wreckless and slanderous it is not. The OP has stated his dealings and opinions of Injected Tuning. I seriously doubt you found this site by googling it since you have been going from forum to forum posting the exact same comments. Yea, I also run another forum for our cars. Nothing wrong with you wanting to stand up for a company that has done right by you. I have done the same thing. However, Ryan has stated, on other forums and via PM to me on this forum, that Injected has a policy to keep their business (good or bad) matters out of the public viewing. That is their own internal policy and is commendable and understandable. However, per Ryan's post and PM (to me) there are some issues... See the bold and highlighted statements in Ryan's quote Ok, the other question is "Why has Injected NOT sent Howard the tune he has spent good money on? After all, it IS his tune. If this has not happened, then myself and others are lead to believe that there just might be something wrong within the tune???
Ummm, so you're saying you wanted to share your experience with Injected? But you felt you had to do it on this thread? This thread is about a blown engine. How about addressing the topic? What do you think about Howdee's pictures? Now I'm no mechanic or tuner by any means but those pistons look burnt to me. Not just one piston, but I can see a few in those pictures that look burnt. You said you watched your build like hawk so I assume you know what you're watching. Do those look burnt to you? How would that happen? Just askin.
lol Guys, This thread is not about me, and this is it. I am a admin, and mod on a couple sites too, and it just frosts my cake on my sites when someone comes along and starts spamming hate and assumptions without any proof other than by association similar to the actions I have seen here. I am sorry to see it degenerate to this. Since just about everyone in this thread has never set foot in Injected Engineering, I thought I could shed some light with my experience. I am not a troll, or a newbie for that matter. Just a car enthusiast that is deeper than most into my hobby. In fact, I believe I was at Injected when the OP was there. I was admiring the beautiful tube work done on the car, and seen it on the dyno too. Like I said, I am at Injected a lot. IMHO, These two parties need to resolve this matter on their own, and there is nothing you or I can say to change that fact. Good luck to All! Hope to see everyone at SSHS9!
Nice car. But it's got the same motor as many a Mustang. so I don't see why it would be so difficult to make it run, especially SC'd. Howard has been a member here since Nov 07, he didn't just join to vent his feelings. These motors have fragile pistons. Can be easily taken out by various problems. We have been losing stock motors with SC's, turbo's, and even N2O, since day one. Hell, we lost quite a few H/C cars when the Predator became available. You can't use the same methodoligy as you do with Ford or a Chevy, doesn't work. Not using the water/meth as requested could have played a big part in this.
Spamming? Sorry, but Howdee (Howard) has been on the LX forums for several years now. Many of us have actually met Howard and know that his character is not of bash or spreading false information. Hell, Howard is OLD. lol Sorry Howee, I had to. Seriously, if you call what Howard did is spamming, then you are a spammer as well. You went around to ALL the forums singing your praise. Nothing wrong with that at all, just like there is nothing wrong with Howard spreading his bad experience. Right? Or am I way off base and can ONLY be a one way street? The problem being that there are still many unanswered questions on this topic. Some have been asked to you directly and you have yet to answer them. Really, I could make matters worse on these forums by sharing the PM sent to me today from Ryan@Injected, but since it was a PM, I will not (at this time). No one is bashing Injected by any means. Truth be told, everyone would just like to have simple questions answered. You are correct sir when you say that no one on this thread has done business with Injected (Hell, I even admitted to that in my previous posts lol), that you know of anyway. So, let's get Ryan to answer our questions so we can all stop assuming the worst.
No, I did not say that. You did. I did not comment directly to the OP's post. I was talking about my experience for the boards I mod, and how they are similar to this thread. I am no mechanic either, but I have seen pistons like that when people are spraying and things go bad. Does this car have/had spray?
Same is true with the Fords. Push a Teksid block 4.6 to 450rwhp and it is done sooner or later with a cast bottom end and 10 psi. I know that for a fact on my car. No disrespect, but my car is not many a Mustang. I am the only Mark VIII in the world with this set up. There is not a single blow through PMAS Mark VIII anywhere other than mine. The computer is totally different than a Mustang Cobra, and it has a automatic trans to make matters more challenging while all Cobras are manual shift. It is what you don't see that makes my car state of the art. Aric's engineering and tuning. Nothing but best wishes to Howard. Hope he can get everything straightened out and back on the road.
You have an awesome looking car. Although I'm still trying to figure out what that has to do with Howdee's blown engine. There you go. Now you're talking about the subject at hand. I don't know if Injected had spray on there or not. I don't think it would matter would it? My understanding is that spray by itself does not burn pistons. Even if you use too much spray for the motor it doesn't burn pistons. If you use too much things might break or blow up but it doesn't burn pistons. It seems to me the main point is that it was ok when it left Injected's shop (with or without spray) and 500 miles later it has burnt pistons.
lol I am trying to not be the center of attention here. I made my point, but I do not want to be rude and not reply. Again, to me, it is more conjecture. How do you know the pistons were fine before the work was done? Especially since there is a TT and possibly spray involved, and driven x number of miles to be tuned with these devices on board and functioning? I don't know, and I really do not want to make it sound like Howard or Aric did something wrong either. My nose is in farther than I want it to be, and I would like to just say good luck Howard, Aric, and Ryan. If any of you want to talk about my experience with Aric and Injected, I will be more than happy to provide you with a plethora of information and pictures of my build.
Thanks for your honesty Mike. But we haven't seen a vendor yet lose an engine that has taken any responsibilty for what happened. They might later concede some, but it's unusual. No disrespect to you or your fine car. Very impressive, and pretty damn fast too. I was just stating that there has been alot of R&D on your basic motor. As you stated, you found out before your current build, but it's still apples to oranges here. Your right, they need to work this out. Sounds like Aric's 1st response it normal for this situation. 4 pistons at once, well, that usually only points to one thing.
What point? You showed is a very nice looking car that you say was put together by Injected. Great. What was the point? Why did you come here to post that in Howdee's thread about his blown engine? Ummm, you don't think that would be a part of tuning a majorly turbo'd engine? Howdee says he was told they stand behind their work no matter what. I would expect part of that to be checking how things came into the shop. We can assume they knew what they were tuning right? If they didn't install the blowers and the car was driven into the shop wouldn't you think it kind of negligent not to check the tune it came in with and an unknown engine before you started to work on it? Especially if you were going to back up your work? I expect they did that. I'd be astounded if they didn't. Exactly. I guess you feel the same way. What? Your nose is in farther than you want it to be? ummm, YOU put it there. Just a bit ago you were talking about irresponsible behavior/posting. Now you say you're in farther than you want to be. Haha, we have a long running saying/joke on this forum. "Look! a bunny!".
Thanks, Halv48 Quick, I am a retired 50 year old with nothing else to do with my time other than discuss pointless banter on the internet and talk about my hobby. Why else would I be up at 3am responding to your post? lol I have nothing but time... But lets leave Howard and Aric out of this so they can sort out whatever, and I will be happy to start a new thread so we can carry on whatever you want to talk about. Hopefully, we can talk about my Mark VIII Take care guys!
I,m glad your happy, any co has plenty of sucess stories. It's how they handle their mistakes. What does your lincoln have to do with LXs? Why are you following my thread to every forum. I see you are local to IE, on the payroll maybe?
wow simply wow... So you register to defend an open complaint by one of the members? Well done Capt. Robin Hood. Be proud! You being an "admin" on several sites means about jack squat to me. SRT/C does NOT prevent their members from being able to speak freely about their experiences, regardless of Supporting or Non-Supporting vendors. As you well know not all vendors take care of their customers all the time. To assume that is foolish. You coming on here trying to shut down the OP is slanderous, why? Because because of YOUR personal experience is suppose to supersede those of the OP. I am sorry but you have NO right to speak on behalf of the company, you have NO RIGHT to complain that the OP has a complaint. You can not solve the situation, ultimately makes your posts completely useless. In short GTFO Howard I am sorry to see your problems, its a shame to see something like that happen.
Wheres the dyno slips? Dont build a build if you cant tune it! Id go thru the fuckin roof if my new build lasted 350 miles! Thats a tuning issue IMHO! This car should have data logs, dyno run files and a tune to analyze! Something dont add up! And it should be fully backed by the folks that tuned it! Back to my old saying! "There are only a small handful of tuners in the know with these cars" Good luck Howdee, I hope the best for your outcome on this!
now that You mention it. This was done while tuning at the first visit. He said @ 8lbs, and that that was perfectly safe if tuned right. Also refused to wire-in my Water Meth all ready in place. Said he didn't believe in them. The wife and I watched the coolant tank bubbling over and mentioned it . he said it was common, no big deal.
