OK, for a while we've been offering the new hemi enthusiast the ability to come up with their own cam specs. Essentially we have about 45 different lobe profiles that can be used on either the intake or exhaust.
Now clearly with this kind of selection you can get yourself in trouble with valve to piston contact, valve spring application, retainer to guide clearance, MDS, HAL amoung other things but these are the lobe you have available. For this reason I can assist you in making sure you get not only the cam that will give the most benefit in your hemi but will do it safely too. For help and ordering I can be reached at 512-964-7724

We have springs, locators and seals available that can handle up to 0.650" lift. As far as valve to piston contact issues go if it's an untried combination and the customer does not have the ability to test this we may need extra time to check clearances at our facility before shipping the cam out to the customer. But at this point I have a pretty solid idea of what will work on a stock piston SRT engine safely.

Our introductory pricing is $375 and it takes 2-3 weeks to get them shipped in most cases. They are true billet cores and are ground for us by Crower.

These cams are for off highway use and are not intended for use on emission controled vehicles.

STU can you give us an example of a good torque cam for the 6.1 that picks up power quick in the low RPM range and carries thru, something that has a good LSA that does not require additional tuning

I have a couple of SRT Max cams that will be going in this weekend and next weekend. They have to be retarded slightly which will slightly hurt bottom end. I could step down to a 214/218 duration profile and run that straight up and the low end torque would be a little bit better but it will not make as much up top. Derrick in Houston has a very similar cam to that in his quad cab with the 6.1 intake conversion and he says it's a strong performer.
