those of you who took a look at my 2nd to last thread, know about my recent spoiler mod. where i took the rksport 3pc spoiler, cut the side that stuck out and ran it flush with the rear fender/tail. well those were also tinted. i had an idea last night and had to do it today and it's finished. as in my last thread, the colors have changed, silver body, cf, semi-black and titanium. this unique mod was a risk. but, i had to get it out of my head and on the ride. i wanted my tails to match the cf decklid, but the weave pattern i taped out, cut and painted, is a little larger than the 6k weave. i just didn't want to do double the cutting. my goal was to match the flow of the weave on the decklid and i think i nailed it. besides, i'll do it again next year, when i redue the entire project, with other touches. btw, there's more to come shortly. give me a sec to get the pix. sorry about the pix, it's night. i'll take better ones during the day. i just can't wait. let me know what you guyz think?
Holy shit!! Are you freakin kidding me?? Geezus dude, you will never stop........and yes. I fuggin like it.
thanks ron! i'm going to take some pix soon and post them. the only problem is that it's going to rain today. my wife keeps telling me the same thing, "when will it end". thanks! i am concerned about it as well. i may have to put my front plate on, just to not give them any other reason to pull me over. i still have to wet sand it more and that should lighten it a bit. the good thing is that when the lights are on, you can see it without any obstructions. damn, that sucks! thanks, the spoiler is rksport, but modified.
Jesus Jim .. that looks like a lot of work, but the result looks VERY WELL worth it!! Thumbs up on a great job and a D-I-Y!!!!!
thanks bro! just about everything i do is diy. most are done for the first time. i'm about to post some better pix.
here you go.... oh, i also finished the sublimeon22's exhaust tip mod. designer series, i already cleared the inner tips for protection.
not yet. but, it shines thru without any issues and it's still BRIGHT. it's a lot more transparent than it looks, plus i still have to wet sand to clean it up better. i just need to see it in the sun, so i can see the titanium more. i only notice it when i look close. give me a sec and i'll take a pic with the brake applied.
that looks great. when it comes to non-moving violations and the way your car looks, i say just keep that stuff and pay the tickets, if you can afford to constantly do so. im surprised it shines through as well as it does.
That is "unique!" Sweet mod! Nice attention to detail as always. I told you I was going to join SRTConnection
