in this deck. http://www.ajc.com/metro/content/me...pse_parking.html?cxntlid=homepage_tab_newstab EDIT: This parking deck is directly across the freeway from where I park...and we have another deck on campus that was built by the same contractor. I'd be  now, if I had to park in that one too.
WOW. I lol'd at this statement... “It’s very heavy concrete. There are a lot of cars that are entangled and broken up,†Stewart said. Really? Concrete is heavy? hahahaha I would have never known that. lol
Some concrete is heavier than other. That concrete may not have been as thick as it should have been...
You think...:bigwink: Buahahahahaha...:rofl2: So far, I hear there were no injuries, which is great. I've heard rumors that the contractor who built this deck was the same one who built a personel walkway that colapsed in a local park not to long ago.:bag: That one had injuries and deaths involved. I gotta say if that rumor is true, I don't think that company will be getting much new business.
get what ya pay for... keep that in mind when you do anything associated with "built by the lowest bidder" Gotta love this quote...
Don't worry...accidents like this will soon be a thing of the past when we are all driving Obamamobiles. There won't be enough weight parked in any garage to collaps a house of cards! Seriously - minor miracle if there were no people in this area at the time. We had one near here, Atlantic City, a few years ago as they were building a new casino garage, full of construction workers, about 4 or 5 dead and more mamed. Yeah - lests hear it for low bid!
Isn't it. Monday at lunchtime...4 of the 6 floors caved...I think the count is 38 cars killed...and no one injured.
wow! that sucks! I know theres a few on here from Abq, anybody here about what happen with the Intel garage last year? A section of it broke away? cracked? and it was supported by some scafolding for a few months. It must not have been too bad cuz they never closed it off.
