If you're spraying it then you probably want to go even stiffer ... or bigger grip. Might lose some distance but like you said, that's not a problem. I can't think of the names at the moment, might be Diamana but didn't it have "White" in it? If you're consistent on the mishits you can fix that with practice or drugs. If you're shaft is too flexible (probably not the problem) or torques too much (more likely your problem) you're going to be inconsistent.

I had a "tour stiff" shaft on it...thats what broke lol...

But this finally gives me the chance to get a proper shaft on the driver...

"Tour Stiff" and stuff like that means you're still in the K-mart shafts. You need to get into some of the higher end stuff and maybe get fitted from someone who knows. (no, that doesn't include the "pros" that tour with the demo day and fit a few hundred duffers every afternoon while telling them how surprisingly good their swings are).

My shaft wasnt an aftermarket shaft...it was the taylor made shaft the club came with....so i wasnt too worried about it lol...

I obviously didnt put too much stock into what i heard at the demo...as i didnt go out and buy it then haha...

It seems like theres quite a few good shafts out there....

Really i need a lower degree driver...

but if I can get a shaft to somewhat control my ballspin...that would be great....

I'd like a lower trajectory cause i get ALL carry and ZERO roll out of my drives (or any of my clubs for that matter)....but im not ding the shafts on the irons...ill just get better shafts when I upgrade my irons next year since this set is like 7 or 8 years old....

that was my issue, I would get a lot of trajectory and no roll. Driver loft is at 9 deg also. My smash factor is a 1.54 so I'm hitting it right ..

I am just having an issue with backspin .. I am being told its nothing my shaft but more of my swing and how the club head comes through the ball .. basically I need more of an upward swing motion through the ball ...

Now I hit the TPC129D xtra stiff shaft and that kept my launch angle very low .. but I had no control of where the ball went ..

I am trying to see if I can find a 8* 400cc R7....I really don't like the 460cc clubs....probably just mental...but it is what it is lol

when i was in college...i took a few golf "classes" which were a good time....we had a former PGA player as our instructor....when I asked him how to fix my swing he goes to me...

    "are you hitting it stright"

for the most part i was...so i said yes...

he said...not worth going through the hassle of changing your whole swing lol....

so ill get what i can out of the technology...and leave it at that

I can live with 75-85...i dont need to shoot in the 60's haha

If I could get a little more consistency...and the ability to take a full swing with my driver...i would be happy with the shaft....

Right now I am stuck with a 3/4 swing to hit anything resembling a straight drive lol

Too much flex/torque to low in the shaft and you're not going to be consistent. A Whiteboard for example has a very high flex point (butt/mid and higher than characteristic for Diamanas) and torque that you could probably use it for your half-shafts. Naturally if you can't load the shaft you're going to lose distance and have a tendency to push it. But if you can consistently hit 300+ drives you need something like that for consistency.

You should be spending some time on golfwrx.com forums. They got lot's of sponsored players, minus players over there. (anything to cut down your post rate here... hahahaha)

The Graff Blue is a high launch shaft. If you want a lower ball flight, this is not the shaft for you. I am the opposite of you, I get too much roll and not enough carry. I like to cutt the corners and have trouble getting over some of the trees at times if they are too close. I am fairly long off the Tee, 310 to 325, but not crazy like you. I've been in the Remax long drive comps and done pretty good at times. I'm no Jason Zubac (sp?) but I live and die by the driver...Lol. If it's on then it's all good that day. If you can hit the drives you are saying, you could do very well in that series considering a lot of tournaments have been won with less than a 400 yard drive. I am using the new Aldila DVS 55-S that is speed tuned to 125-155 mph. Works well for me. I actually went with a less degree face and now I am actually getting a better launch due to the low kick point of the shaft. As you probably know, a low kick point will increase your launch angle as much as the degree of the driver face. Big thing is, don't take the word of anyone or what is written on the piece of equipment, hit it before you buy it. BTW... what type ball do you use? If you are a Pro V1 fella, try the X and it has a slightly lower flight.
