so long story short... My BC's went bad, again. So I decided to go back with stock struts. However, since they were already off the car, and one was already blown, I decided to go ahead and do new struts. So now I have the new struts, with stock springs, and tire rub.:mad2: (Left Rear) Alignment shop says the alignment is dead on, and is blaming the tires...225 40/18's. Doesn't seem to believe me when I tell them the tires were on the car no problem pre-BC's with the stock springs/struts. So I choose to believe them, and "stole" my wifes GT Cruiser wheels 205 50/17's and guess what. The tire was still rubbing on the strut, WTF! So if it's not the tires, and the alignment is "dead on", does that mean Autozone gave me the wrong strut, or is it more likely that I installed something wrong? I am confused...any ideas?
Yea that sounds right to me. The SRT struts are Tokico Blues (or HP's) just black. No one sells them (napa, csk, autozone etc...) but the dealer and Tokico authorized suspension shops $$$$. Stock Neon struts are valved totally wrong for the SRT anyway and have left and right fitment for the rear on base models. :cry2:
255 dear lord! How the fuck did you do that? Alignment really consists of toe/camber. Most allignment is done solely on toe. Check you camber! I have found all my problems with camber
Yeah...found out Autozone :censored: me. So, now I get to take everything off, and re-do it all again....*sigh* what fun. Sorry...corrected, to read 225.
The strut perch is shorter on the reg. Neon struts. Glad you got it figured out. You should of just got new cartridges for the BC's... 4X4 height sucks.
