Rolled up on a Blue mustang today with a decent sounding exhaust and thought he might be game for a little one-on-one action until I noticed the ROUSH Supercharged sticker on it. Never-the-less I pulled up next to him when he changed lanes and slowed down. Slapped it into second and then he just walked away from me. That thing was on roids!! Pulled up to him afterwards at the light and asked about it. He said he was pushing 525 to the ground and was going to be at 575 by summer. I think he said it was a 428 but wasn't sure and I don't know mustangs. Wouldn't doubt it as fast as it was. Good run though. Funny thing is I beat a v6 300 with my Durango in the exact same place the day before! LOL!!!
There's no way a Roush stang (even s/c'd) just walks from you without some other mods, I know, I've got a s/c'd Saleen. He was heavily modded rest assured, but still a loss is a loss, sorry bro :sorry:
may not have been just a plan Roush...no roush puts out 500+ to the ground... it might have been a roush mustang but i doubt he had a roush supercharger (at least the standard one) on there
He def had some stuff going on under there and if he's pushing 525 to the wheels he is going to take my ass anyday. Wish I could of heard everything he said but it was hard in traffic. It was still cool to hear both cars wake up and move!!!
same here, I'm certain he's upgraded, modded etc. It wasn't just a plain jane mustang. He had some money in it
Oh yea, crack em open and wake up the world baby! No Roush puts 500+ to the wheels that's why I said that. And as we all know the stang mod market is huge ... he had a lot going on there no doubt (wonder if he was juiced too?). You stock??
Lol! Bad!! :bottom: Alright, here's what you do. Go get these ... 1. Predator 2. Cai 3. Cat back 4. 180 tstat Then go find that roush again, he won't walk you again. If you want to be sure add some juice ... or a s/c of your own, and walk him!!
this is what separates us from most other forums; admitting defeat. speaks highly of an srt if a mucho lighter car with more then 100hp from you simply "walks" from you.
I'm thinking pretty much the same thing but a full exhaust. Seen a lot of info on here about heads and intakes but I'll probably get into to that later. at least I know I can beat Honda civics and scions
A lot of Mustangs out there are definitely nothing to sneeze at. It's what makes modding fun...but I agree with Wazzsup, I'd gladly lose to a s/c mustang just to be able to let her out tonight..
:thumb2: Same here, there's just something so enjoyable about roasting those things. Still my fav kill of all time (if you can call it that) was years ago in my mustang coming up on 2 ricers going at it. I blew by them like there was no tomorrow!! Couldn't wipe the smile off my face for a week!!
