Open Track Event (HPDE) Moroso March 1-2 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Open to all types of performance cars. There will be a High Speed Driving Event (HPDE) on the road coarse at Moroso on March 1-2. There will also be sprint races throughout the weekend with American Iron and Grand Am Cup type cars. This event is for beginners with instructors to licensed comptition racers. The HPDE portion of this event is being hosted by Gold Coast Porsche club of America and the racing is being hosted by the Porsche BMW Owners Club of Florida. Once again the event is open to all types of performance cars. If you have ever wanted to track your car on a road coarse this is your chance. Log onto www.driversregistration.com , start a profile and add on Gold Coast PCA and you will find the event. You do not need any experience to drive on the track, just a safe car, an SA rated helmet long pants (verts must have rollover protection) and a desire to have fun. Beginners will be given a dedicated instructor to learn the track and techniques of high speed road coarse driving. You will also have a morning classroom session to learn the fundamentals (flags, passing etiquite, etc...) Passing is by point by only and only on the straights. These are great clubs and fun is guaranteed! Apprehensive about driving but still want to check it out? It is free to come out and watch and answers are always free-here on the site or at the track. Also, at lunch time, there will be parade laps behind a pace car so you and your family or friends can drive in your car around the track. You must be well behaved or you will not be invited back. If you are interested in signing up and have no experience on a road coarse, sign up early as student/instructor spots fill early. You can sign up for one day or both. Any questions, fell free to ask. See you there. Heres a short list of who's going. This does not include the racers-they are on a different list. you gotta be kidding me, the one day of the year my family has a birthday, and an HPDE event comes around. I hope one comes to Sebring in the near future
` There is a huge event at Sebring on Memorial day weekend. May 23-25. It is a SVTOA event Sponsored by Steeda but all makes and models are welcome. If you even consider it and you need a hotel, reserve the Chateau now as it will sell out for sure. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the event with no fees.
I just checked the registration list and I see that a Magnum SRT8 has just signed up. Anyone from here?
Awesome! That should be Lou! He has a sweet ride and I talked him into coming...he has a stroker motor in the car and its a beast...runs 11's in the 1/4 mile. Glad he signed up!
