    E-brake adjustment

    Remove the rear tire

Remove the rear caliper 2-10mm bolts

    Remove the rear rotor
    [IMG]

Use a Flat head screw driver
    And turn the little sprocket
    [IMG]

You will have to turn it opposite from each side to adjust

Adjust it to where the rotor has a snug fit over the brakes
Once this is achieved then replace the rotor and caliper and tire

i just adjusted mine last week. Easier way is to jack up car and use jack stands and you can leave the wheels on. on the backside there is a little rubber plug you take out and then get to the star nut. adjust till drag then back off. put plug in and lower car. no need for wheels and calipers to come off.

I do it that way for a reason so i dont over tighten them ive done that before

I use my e-brake alot and im aways adjusting them and having the rotor easly slide over the brakes ensure im not over tightening them.

you will know if you overtighten them because when you spin the wheel you will hear it drag. when it does just back off one to two turns and spin again

Obviously, the e-brake need to be off for the first method...what about the method of leaving the tire on??

    I do have a question...

This sprocket/star nut is on both rear (passenger and driver side) correct, so I need to adjust both passenger and driver side?

I've never had to adjust an ebrake on any of my previous cars so this is a first for me.
