Has your car caused harm to you? We all have had our car accidents, but when you are working on it what has it done to you. Back story to this topic: So Wednesday of last week I felt the car pulling funny and hearing something rubbing I pull over and check, the wheel some how started to fall into the strut. I limp my way home where I try to take off the wheel. 2 studs broke off in the process (first time ever for me) I find the problem and I fix it, thinking "OK I will press in new studs in a few days at least I can get around a bit" I come home from a meeting and I wanted to double check my work so I start loosening the lugs and felt one about to break, so I say "f**k this I am just goin to take it to be done tonight as I do not have time to wait" I limp the car down a low traffic road and heard it rubbing hard again. I pull over hoping to pull the wheel out to help this situation" So as I am getting out of the car and reaching for the jack I lift my head and WANGO hit right on the door. Didn't hurt much, until I noticed a large amount of blood spilling on the ground. I get it to stop bleeding and I head to the shop. I show up at the shop covered in blood and grime hand over my keys and the next thing I know I am at the ER getting my head stitched back together. Thats my story and I am sticking to it.
hahahahahaha damm too funny but ive had that problem with so many studs on my wheels i think i have 5 that i havent replaced yet on my car. ok as for stories ive smashed my hand a few times while working on the car, alot of blood blisters and chunks of skin missing but none of which costed me a trip to the ER. my late friends Ion Redline took blood from me numerous times. from day none i as he brought it to work just after picking it up he parked and opened the hood and i put my hands down and start looking around the engine bay and then thought my hands were sweating bad so i wiped and moved again looking at hoses and it wasnt till i put my hand on his supercharger did we notice that both my hands were bleeding. LOL when i helped him put his intake in which had to go down, around, and up into the fendor i was bleeding from various spots on my arms and back of my hands, scars which still show up when you look at them. the more i helped him with his car the more blood it drew from me. when he moved to El Paso his car was well modded and had taken so much blood from me. Since his passing his family has been taking care of his car which he loved so much but now they cant afford to pay on it so there gonna have to let it go. if i had the extra cash id take it because his car was my Christina. The PT, Skittle, and rustang have been pretty good to me and only the skittle has taken a small amout of blood the PT has burned me and the mustang i just continously curse at. F*** you you F****** F***stick!!!!
when I was helping chris pull the motor on my car...the jack handle didn't have the bolt in it as we tried to "slowly" lower it down it couldn't close the hidrolic valve to stop the car from going down and it fell on me.... nothing too bad...although it wasnt the best i have ever felt in my entire life lol other than that i have been burned and cut but nothing requireing medical attention lol
Scarlett (the Charger) tried to bite off my index finger in the door. The tissue on the back of my finger (not the skin, the muscle/tendon stuff) got scrunched around to the inside next to the middle finger. I bit my lip and pushed it back in place with my left hand then drove home and put ice on it. Seems okay now, but OMG maimage.
Great story Chris "felt one about to break" --> means that it's already broken, just hasn't fallen on the ground yet. And maybe your car set you up for that?? You think cause the wheel was leaning over that caused the car to sit about 1 mm off kilter and because of that you ran your head into the door...? umm, err,
I got a million of them. but the latest and greatest was yesterday working on Snehals motor. I have the short block on the engine stand and guess I didn't tighten the locking bolt enough. So I dropping in the pistons and bent down to double check that the rods were dropping on to the crank properly and had turn the crank just a tad. Well I had left the sheet metal spacer plate on that goes between the engine and the transmission. So I crab the flywheel to give it slight turn. Well the whole motor turned and caught my hand between the stand and the spacer turned across the back of my left thumb and laid it open pretty nicely. A few butterfly stitches later I was back at it.
Cuts, burns, scrapes, and head trauma...I was re-torquing collector bolts after engine got to temp. a while back...wrench slipped, and made me punch the collector flange, which made me cringe in pain, and instinct said to grab my hand with the other, which made me bring my left arm up onto the exhaust pipe, which sizzled my forearm, which made me try to double up and I head butted the cross member....this all happened in about 2 seconds...I have the scars and memory literally burned in me forever.
My hood slammed on my hand when put my hand on the fender to stand up the other day...and latched. So there I was with half my hand under the side of the hood with no way to open the hood and the wife out of state... luckly I had my cell phone and called my neighbor.
Honestly it makes me a bit paranoid that my seat adjustment buttons work without the key in the ignition.
A hot chick that pushed her "finger insides" back in place........that is hot! :worthy:Excuse me while I take a cold shower.......:future:
