Ahhhh... all this talk of 426's, S/C's, ported this and that.... you guys are killing me! I'm so poor I can't even give Momo, Ryan, Rick, Chris, Larry, Jeff and the others their yearly raises... You guys are going to force me to rob a bank! Lol!
Damn! Gotta love all that forged metal... nice. :dribble: I must be having a case of "deja vu" here... cause that kit looks very familiar. How about the 16th letter of the alphabet (3) times over. Lol
Rotating assembly is balanced and in the shop the build starts tomorrow. Should be done in a few days. Im really looking forward to this build/Tune. :good:Should be a crazy fast JGC.
can't wait to see the finished product!!! is this really you guys first 426 build???? for some reason i thought you guys had done one before....
Finished. Started right up, nice and quiet, and remarkably responsive for the compression ratio it's running. Rims getting fixed and soon we will see how she behaves with others.
Josh, the rods hit them ? Odd I though the piston skits hit. The Mopar 392's notched the piston skirts to clear the squirters. So your finally getting rid of the jeep ? Its about time hehehe Good luck -R
I noticed the pistons are deep dish, not even flat. What compression are you running? Are you planning on running some type of "boost" or Nitrous in the future?
After finally getting all of the parts it went pretty quick. I learned a lot about a "true 425.7 cid power plant. The big end of the rods would hit the main portion of the squirter's. I tried using the squirter's and I was able to get both pistons and 1 rod to clear but the other rod would hit bummer I would of liked to have them. None the less she revs quick and I learned many tricks. The static CR is 8.72:1 on this build. This Jeep will be getting our "Hopzilla" system. Which is a "true" twin screw supercharger system and not a "screw type" system. We plan on running 18 to 22 psi of boost. Goal is to be 700 rwhp consistently.
Just got back from HoP and the jeep is sick! Looks/Runs excellent. Looking forward to the 'HopZilla" "true" American made/Carb approved twin screw supercharger system install. Then stand the fu*k back cuz that jeep is gonna blow doors on all the competition hands down. Nice work Josh!
So you are going to be running on the weak side running the stock intake (no boost)? Heck....you can run 89 octane....lol......tilll you get the screw.
Bring her on down to Irwindale next Thursday and lets see what that sled will do!! I'll make sure my doors are unlocked....lol!!!
