so around noon today i decided to get the car ready for the maryland m&g. thought to myself "i should probly wax her up too". mayhem insued. 1.) vacuumed out interior 2.) shampood mats and scrubbed until "chrysler" writing was white again 3.) washed car with dishoap 4.) clay barred the entire car, every nook and cranny 5.) re-washed car using zaino 6.) waxed using zaino z-whatever it was that looks like pepto and with the zfx additive. then i thought to myself, well, might as well go all out and polish her too 7.) polished with z-whatever the hell again with the zfx cant use just ONE coat of polish 8.) added ANOTHER coat of same shit as numero 7 well, you gotta use the spray stuff too. it "bonds" with the polish and "repells" dirt or whatever the hell 9.) sprayed with the zaino spray stuff 12:00pm-10:30pm..............10 and a half friggin hours my back is killing me, my throat is so frickin sore and im starving cuz my girlfriend fed my dinner to the dog, real cool ya frickin skank! anyway, still not done yet. tomorrow the windows get a couple coats of invisible glass, the leather gets conditioned, the whole interior gets the quick interior and the brake pads go in. you bastages in maryland better LOVE my ride by the time i get there! im gonna get a professional photographer to snap some pics of her on sunday before we leave for maryland. one things for sure, a black muscle car properly washed and waxxed looks like the 4 horsemen of the apocolype bearing down hate and discontent upon you!! im gettin a shower and hittin the hay:rock: edit: well here are some pics that you asked for. im no photographer. really these pics do the metallic paint no justice, ill have to wait for a nice bright sunny day and get some better pics. it looks pretty mean IMO.

thanks man! i must say, it looks even better then it did the day it was delivered!!! long day though, thats for sure. as i was rounding hour number 9 i was thinking "i wish my car was red like stevo's then i wouldnt have to go through all these damn extra steps!" shes stayin in the garage till sunday. gotta take the gf's civic to the gym tomorrow
thats one of the reasons i got red and not BB haha...i loooooove black but good god its a lot of work...i have been there done that when i was cleaning the mustang.
yeah man, this is my 2nd black car so i knew what i was getting myself into. although my 1st black car didnt cost me 50grand so i didnt spend 10hr days washin and waxin either!

I can't wait to do mine. She has been deprived for a while... Just waiting until I can take a day off from work. My 3 year old and wife keep me busy on the weekend. I also need to get a porter cable so I can speed it up some. Did you us a pc or did you do it all by hand?
it was all done by hand, you cant use zaino products with an orbital...or so i've been told. i'll try and get some pics up today but i can't make any promises because of my computer acting up. my dad has a porter cable and i've used it on my car once before. let me tell you it makes quick work of everything! i coul have had twice as many coats on my car in half the time i spent! however i love the zaino products not just for the look of the finished product but also the longevity of their products. in a world with perfect weather i shouldnt need to wash my car for another 4 weeks even though its my daily driver.
we aint got no perfect world...i couldnt take my car out of the DRIVEWAY without needing to wash it when i got back haha
ive never used zaino with an orbital. i heard you cant do it but im wonderin if anybodies ever tried it. ive used an entirely different arsenol on my car with a pc and it was easy as hell, just didnt have as deep a shine as that z5 stuff
