Check this crap out, who want's to burn the dealership down with me? http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/28/dealer-selling-dodge-chargers-branded-srt-6/ I can't wait to see the forums light up with "Man I blasted an SRT in my (insert ricer car here)!"
Lets all call the Sales Mngr and let him know what a tool he is and what an embarrassment he is making out of the dealership
Its bad enough when individuals try to rebadge their SE or SXT as an SRT-6 (Its got a V6 and its fast!) without any understanding that there's WAY more to the SRT badge than the size of the engine, but when a dealer does it? :chair: As much of a diss as this might be to SRT owners, I see it as a huge disservice to the team that actually designed the SRTs.
but you all know that someone has bought one...and is now going around telling people they drive an SRT Charger...with a 2.7L V6 in it....fantastic lol.... they are gonna look at that and be OH SO impressed with the "SRT brand" hahahahaha how about false advertising....does that count as its not SRT anything? lol...it wouldnt be AS BAD (although it would still deserve an ass kicking) if they supercharged the 3.5L V6 and maybe lowered the car...but still come on now....
Having had the SRT for two and a half years, gone to two track experiences and utterly geeked out about all the performance upgrades and improvements on the cars OVER the other trim levels, I do tend to get pissy over this sort of idiocy. There's SOOO much more to the badge than just a bigger engine. At least with SRT Design, its from the factory that way and is just cosmetic. Still, I guess this dealer just wants to sell cars, any way they can. And yes, dealers seem to be idiotic when it comes to the SRTs. I remember going to my original dealer to get the car serviced and they had an SRT Charger in the showroom with the MDS sticker/placard thing attached to it. When one of the sales guys walked up to me to tell me about it, I'm like, yeah, the SRT's don't have MDS. He's all, yeah they do. Then I pointed to my car out in the drive and also to the fine print on the placard that said "not available on SRT models". He made some excuse and removed it. Or when I asked them to rotate the tires, I had to explain to the service agent that the OEMs were staggered and not all the same size. I'm glad I said something or I'd have had the 255s on the front and the 245s on the back.. Agent thought I changed the tires after I bought it. I had to slowly explain to him that no, they came that way. This guy still gave me the "you're a dumb girl" treatment, which is why I drive fifty miles in the opposite direction to a Chrysler dealer for my service now. No dumbassery there.
god tam...i thought you knew your just a dumb girl who doesnt know any better!...you can get their "5 start" status revoked for dumbass comments like that lol....if of course they were a "5 star" dealer/service...
Oh he didn't come out and say that, but he blew off my TSB requests and did the smile and nod crap. Only I can do that dammit!
oh even the guys WHO I KNOW at my dealer blew off the TSB stuff till i basically threatened them with bodily harm hahahahaha....
