ever since i installed the diablo i have had a problem with a wot hesitation in autostick or automatic. doesn't matter what shift 1 to 2 or 2 to 3. happens most of the time on the 1 to 2. i am sick of it and no one can give me a good answer. i called diablo and they said not them. but it only started to happen after the diablo install. when i go back to stock it doesn't happen. so i had the car cmr tuned and it still does it. rev limiter is at 7000 and the shift points are at 6400. what gives?? it starts to hesitate at about 5800 or 5900 rmps. i know that the car maybe a little behind and that this maybe actually closer to the actual 6400 shift point.

this really sucks and i want to get to the bottom of this. anybody know anything about this. or have any suggestion. car is stock with cai and high flows. 06 300 srt8

This has happened to me with my Diablo and CMR tune on the Jeep and has happended to me before on my truck. I was leaning out real bad with the higher shift point and noticed alot of KR right at the shifts, it feels like its hesitating or you dont have your foot into the pedal enough. Another thought is its bouncing off the rev limiter. Try this back down your shift points and take it for another test and report back, also try another gas station with the highest octane you can get.

how do i back down the shift points. its not an option is it. it says only raised shift points, raise rev limiter. i cannot believe this is still happening even with the cmr tune. i thought that is what they are for. to take care of this kind of thing. did your hesitation ever go away completely??

Its hit and miss depending on weather and/or gas that I have, I dont have the luxury of using the same gas station each time. If you have your shift points raised over stock I would like to see what happens at the stock shift points, also can you datalog some runs with the current tune and who did your CMR tune

Can you describe the "hesitation" better/more? If you're hitting the rev limiter you know it. It's VERY distinct since it just flat closes the throttle. Feels like it's cutting the ignition for a moment. And I wouldn't recommend setting your rev limiter at 7K. At least one person said they floated a valve at 6700. The CMR was done on a dyno? Do you know what the A/F was for the CMR at the top end? Can you get the dyno graph if it was done on one?

Well, 12.4 should be perfect? Like Wade said, can you get some logging? I'm not familiar with the Predator logging but maybe include:
    ECT - engine temp
    Ambient Temp
    RPM
    Speed
    Spark advance
Knock Retard - not the sensors but the total (short term?) knock retard.

Did you get back to Jeremy with the problem?

I had a simliar issue with version 17. I noticed I was throwing codes (P0300). Switched to 18 and all has been fine.

for those who want to know what happens at wot here it goes. the car starts out fine then as it climbs in the rpm band as it nears about 5800 rpm is continues toward the 6400 shift, but the entire time it seems to be hesitating. the needle does not jump or anything it is constant toward the shift point. almost seems as if the car is sufficating. i am working on having ppp send me the graphs. i will post asap. more help please.

Have you noticed any codes? You can check via the Predator AND your EVIC. Check your manual for 'how to' directions. With mine, the Predator did NOT log any codes, but my EVIC did.

For whatever reason, each car can react differently to a given tune, even if they're the same year...

I'd also contact your CMR tuner and ask them...

My P0300 code was an engine misfire. Do a search here or on LX forums for a thread that provides all the problem codes.

Predator has a section on here for Q&A. Ask them too!

Good luck and keep us updated.
