was drivin home this mornin, 4 am , 4 degrees. just recently put stage 2 wga on my car, 2 weeks ago, and finally got it tuned in at 15psi. but when i hit 15 psi the car spits and sputters like it is miss-firing. I dont think it is fuel cut but need some input, car has no supporting mods that i know of, just the wga, do i need more fuel? let me know any input. I could just need new spark plugs?? I dont think they are stock. car hasnt hit 40,000 mi. yet.

Zack do you have a wideband A/F guage or that worthless stock one that has the pretty light show??

When you say tuned was this dyno tuned or how, what I want to see is your A/F right as you shift

Not entirely sure but that sounds like blow out. What gap are your plugs at?

Indeed it sounds like spark blow out. Check the gap on your spark plugs and let us know. Also when was the last time you replaced your spark plugs and which ones are you currently running?

Who says we don't have good info here. :thumb2:

Seriously though a stock plug with 40k on it gapped at 50 with upped boost pretty much screams blow out.

...good choice on the iridiums.....try gapping at about .035.

    Goodluck.

Had the same problem on my 94 Cobra, with 12lbs of boost and a 40 shot o'juice.
Definately sounds like blow out at the higher rpms & boost level.

Heres a thread with good info on Spark Plugs. I am actually going to get a set tomorrow. I am going with the NgK 4306. All copper. Iridiums are a pretty penny. I will try the Denso's next roundabout.

The NGK 4306 don't have a "one step colder" You have to get the Iridiums for the "one step colder: plug.

well went lookin for plugs today and the only ones on hand that i could find were autolite xp iridiums $6.48 a plug. i took the old ones out to find out what they were and they WERE ngk iridiums. i am also running a screamin deamon coil and fire wire 25 ohm wires. now these were on the car when i bought them. got the new plugs gapped at .052 like the gentleman said at advanced auto parts. took the old ones out and put the new ones in, here is a pic of the old ones, not that good of a pic but from what u can see they were bad. took the car out for a spin and doesnt miss as much under boost but it still does. got back and the car has a miss in it, not a steady miss but like every 12-15 sec.?????? coil pack bad? wires bad???
    clogged injectors??

Did you even bother reading the thread a posted? lol Autolite are horrible, had them in my 96 Neon ACR from the previous owner. I think they put them in lawnmowers. That gentleman at advanced auto knows NOTHING about our cars. He just goes by the computer. .052 is WAY too big of a gap. I have heard bad things about the Screamin Demon coil. Same company that makes the MSD coil. They have been having issues with it.

What performance mods are done to your car besides the Stage 2 WGA? Since you have upped the boost to around 15 psi. Your gap should be .040. And depending on what else is done you might have to make that smaller...

Those pictures tunred out horrible. They aren't focused at all.

Put your camera on macro (should be a button that looks like it has a flower next to it) next time and get the straps in the picture that will help out alot as far as seeing what going on as well as what cylinder the plugs came out of.

You could be missing (at idle at least) because the pack is seeing too much resistance from the plugs (i.e. to much gap)
Pull those plugs back out and close the gap. Somewhere between .035 and .040. Were you trying to get iridiums or did you look at his entire stock of plugs?

And next time don't ever listen to the guy behind the counter. 98% know very little about cars they just punch stuff into the computer and hope something comes up.
