Hey all. I gots a issue I would like a little help with. I have a 04 SRT4. Mods listed below. I am going to be building a boost leak tester and maybe the fuel pump rewire this weekend or next. My Problem is this. at 5k rpm and above I loss all my boost. I spike up to 20 PSI (which I think I should be spiking more than that) and fall down to 18. Then at 5k RPM and above I loss all my boost. Like it is struggling for AIR,FUEL or something. My question is other than a boost leak, could this be a issue with Fuel, Spark, Air? What else should I be looking at? I have double checked all my vac lines. They are zip tied and the Intercooler Piping is tight. I am not sure if there is any mods done to the Fuel system. I am pretty sure that the fuel pump is the 180lph that comes with the Stage 3 kit. Thanks for any help. what do u mean by "struggling for AIR,FUEL or something" As for being a S3 you shpuld spike alittle higher but not much and the S3 fuel pumps are known for going bad, and what plugs you running?
I am not sure about the plugs. I have not pulled them yet. although I have thought numerous times about doing it. Just have not had time. What I mean was it just feels like the car is struggling for something. Like it does not have any more pull once i hit the 5k range. If I shift before 5k its fine. but still only 20 max.
go put some fresh NGK 4306 and gap them to .032 and the plugs are only like $10 from napa and a boost leak test is always good
