On the way home while hitting the gas from a stop light the car acted like it ran out of gas? I got to the side of the road and the car shut off? I thought it went into limp mode? Tried to start it no go! Let it sit for 5 minutes and it started then died? The fuel guage says 1/8 of a tank a gas I went into diagnostic mode and saw that both tanks had gas? Tried to start, would not. The car acted like it was out of gas? So I got a gallon of gas I could hear the gas hitting the tank! Got in and the car started? I ran out of gas?. Put the predator on and yes I had a code fuel something sensor? When I put gas in the car it still says 1/8 of a tank and the reading for the left and right tanks are still the same? So has anyone had this problem? And if so what did you do? Can I change out a sensor somewhere or am I dealer bound.
Cant recall reading about this problem before except some that installed aftermarket high volume fuel pump(s)..
Its real strange for sure wish I remember the code! I did the reset guages and now it says 1/4 of a tank. Its like the guage locked up? I ran out of gas, put gas in guages still locked. Came home surfed the web nothing but check guages and now the fuel gauge is were I think it should be? I am now thinking that the fuel code was just a code to tell me I had no gas?
Have you filled the tanks up and does it still show 1/4th a tank left? If so, its has to be the gauges or the senor in the tank.
