No - our systems run on a duty-cycle with the PCM commanding the pump to run. A Boost-a-pump is simply a voltage regulator that increases voltage so that at any given duty cycle more fuel flows. So instead of hitting 100% of the duty cycle and being tapped out on fuel, you increase the voltage, and suddenly only need 70% of the duty cycle, thus leaving additional room for even more fuel flow.
