VIDEO IN POST #34!! Andy and Justin from PPP are in town today for a Modern Mopar Dyno Day at Henson Performance here in Birmingham. A local group of guys (BhamMopar.com) that I recently discovered will be there as well. Lots of 08 & 09 Challys and Chargers will be there. But more importantly, I get to FINALLY (a year later) get my 426 Charger all perfectly dialed in!!!! And, get a CMR tune for my Jeep as well!!!! Kick-fuggin-ass dude!!! Only bad part is it's raining pretty good, so my baby will get dirtier than she's ever been, but I can't miss this opportunity. I'll take pics and vids and post up results later today or tomorrow!!!
good luck buddy!!! hope your dyno tune goes better than my last attempt!!! lol after one pull for mine, johan was shaking his head and said "something is not right with this car"....... hahahahaah thats when i realized my convertor shit the bed!!! lol
I'm just getting red x's. What's the numbers Chase? SAE Smoothing 5? Working at a Chevy dealership in Yuma, AZ today.
Alright alright....here it is. Andy will post the video and graph in the next couple of days. But here's the header of my results page I got. Yup. 530rwhp & 520rwtq. But that dyno was running high all day long on other cars by around 20-25 hp/ft.lbs. So I cleared the goal I was shooting for, even if it was running high. But the main thing, like a lot of you guys already mentioned, is I know I'm all dialed in perfectly now. No more worries, no more concerns, the sled is running like a raped ape now. I'm perfectly happy with her!!!!!
johan was expecting around 500 - 525 with my set up........ wanna race that pretty sled of yours in august chaser???? lol
Hell yes buddy!!! Here's a few other things to keep in mind. The results from the pull above, was on my 3rd run, when the engine was the most heatsoaked. The car sat for 3 hours before my first pull, and only 15 minutes lapsed between my 2nd and 3rd pulls. So by the time I got to my third pull, she was all nice and hot. And while I may not know the DA, anyone who knows Alabama in June, knows it's not the most "pleasant." So considering those factors in as well, I'm very happy with my results.
You guys ever see that episode of Top Gear when they drive through Florida and Alabama? BTW: Congrats Chase, time for the track!!!
yeah.... a bit rough to say the least! never saw it snail??? what was it about??? without d/r's you will be happy to break twelve!!! trust me, i have seen waaaaaay to many cars with that kind of power have a hard time breaking into the 11's due to traction!!! lol
Each of em buy a car under a grand and they go on a road trip through hot humid Florida, Alabama, and on to New Orleans. Hilarious sh!t, you gotta see it without me ruining it.
