Ok.....something to post that new members may be interested in.....others that have seen this on other forums.....hold your laughter. These are slotted and drilled and with the Satisfied G6 pads you have oem stopping power with very very low dust.
Sarge, say it ain't so. You've caved in to bling over function. My understanding: Basically, the functional reason for cross drilling rotors is to save on un-sprung weight. Obviously the advantage of doing this decreases as the rest of the unsprung weight increases. The amount of weight saved is pretty much fixed. If you save 4 of 100 lbs it's more significant than saving 4 of 400 lbs. So that aspect of cross drilled rotors is going to be way more significant on lighter cars. We don't have lighter cars. The operating temp and channeling pad dust and gasses is incremental at best over slotted rotors. Then there is the controversy over premature cracking around the holes...
Hey Quick Actually they are the factory rotor that have been machined. They are only as light as the material removed, when I lifted them they did not feel any lighter. They actually look cool!! Yes I went more for the bling look!! They would still offer the benefits associated with cooling and swiping of the pads. Along with the low dust Satisfied S6 they work absolutely great both from the perspective of stopping power and the very low dust.
