Contrary to what I have seen and heard from other "self proclaimed" independent testers, the facts are the facts. A dyno just doesnt lie and anyone who really has some dyno experience knows that if you simulate the same conditions, ie, temperature which affects our engines the most the results are impossible to alter. I personally dont care for a filter on a stick and although this is popular with the "street" crowd you really dont see it at a higher performance level. A filter in a box that takes air from an isolated location is pretty hard to beat. These are results conducted at GSM using pretty much latest state of the art equipment.
Ok, so if I am reading this correctly the CAI gives us about 10 Hp? K&N claims 21 Hp. I bought a K&N put it on and I could not tell anything at all but the noise, so I put the stock one back on and the K&N CAI has been sitting in a box for the last 5 months. Should I put it back on?
21hp is a hefty claim for K&N... doubtful it is wheel horsepower increases. The GSM comparison appears to be wheel hp numbers
Here is my dyno ...first is with the Diablo 91CAI tune ...second is with GSM dyno tuning ...not too shabby for intake and center muffler delete and predator...
