Some of the so called :suspect:experts/left oversrop: at the "Jeep" site really make me grin reading their pontification. One of the latest gripes are the manifold spacers leaking. They attribute or corrolate oil around the manifold runners as being the fault of the phenolic spacers. If they really knew what they were talking about and could claim hands on experience removing a manifold more than once or twice, they would realize this is an inherent problem associated wirth the 5.7/6.1 family of engines.
I took mine off after 2 vacuum leaks. I dont know why they leaked, I dont care but now that there are off I havnt had any problems. They did keep the temp down on my manifold though
It took 6 tries on my car. 3 in AZ and 3 at GSM. My car was the 1st to get double gaskets and longer bolts. We figured out that there was a little warpage on the intake manifold. That was Spring Festival 07, no issues since.
So if i order the spacers are they going to leak or not!! Tamara how hot are you? I might as well continue to stay off topic.
Actually you made a good point I do!!! I've heard them all, Arkansas isn't as hillbilly as it is made out to be though.
