I bought a couple of these LED pods from AAC whom I am a distributor for last week to see what I could do with them, to see how they would look on my car. These are some examples of ideas I have had so far (wiring was not complete as I was trying different spots so please excuse the exposed wires) Underhood: I also am going to wire them up one on each side under the car to go on when I open the doors for a light like the running boards on my truck. They are in a metal housing and should be good under a truck just fine.... No toe nail polish for me though.
Man I wish you had these when I had my Jeep. I had lights under my jeep for Night wheeling, I ended up replacing them every 2-3 months.... GREAT PRODUCT!
Yeah these look like tough little buggers, the metal case they are in isn't cheaply made and I bet with a little extra sealer I am going to add to mine water won't be a problem either.
Not sure, I just like to be extra careful with stuff.... What you want me to go drop one in the sink while it is plugged in and see what happens??? Unlike an incandescent bulb that would most likely shatter if gotten wet an LED won't.
Wire is about 2 feet long, I think 20 gauge. For the ones I am going to install under my car I am going to just put a bead of sealant around the base to help lock out any moisture, the housing are metal and strong so no worries there.
so ill need about 30 more feet of 20 gauge wire hahahhaha I am going to put them equal to the B pillar in the truck underneath (to light up the passanger and drivers side ground by the doors probably)....and then one in the bed...
