Greetings from Arkansas I have been on the Forum for a while...but just sitting back on the sidelines watching and learning. I bought my Brilliant Black '08 SRT8 Charger on 09 May 2009...so far I have installed Magnaflow Cat Back, DS Predator 93 CAI Tune, BT Catch Can, C&L CAI and some nice dark tint. I am really happy with my purchase and am still surprised daily at the performance level of such a big/heavy car. I know it is wrong, but today was the first time I actually let somebody egg me into a little high-speed acceleration on a nice stretch of almost empty freeway...and believe it or not it was a Yamaha R6. I was minding my own business with the cruise set at 75, when I start passing this bike who was in the slow lane. He is almost hanging off the bike so he could get a good look at the car as I went by. Of course, as soon as I pass him he speeds up and sits on my passenger door and starts doing the mini accel thing to see if I want to play. Now for you naysayers out there...I know I can't beat him, but I just wanted to see what the car could do since I just installed the performance upgrades two days ago. So we hit it...he pulls to the front of my car and that is where I kept him until about 130 when he started to slowly pull away. I was watching and listening to his bike and he was mashing his throttle just like I was. I was fairly impressed with my car for keeping him close from 75 to 130. I actually expected him to walk me right away...not sure if he was a novice rider, or the ol SRT actually pulls that hard. But I can say that the car runs like it is freakin pissed off now with the mods and really accelerates hard! If there are any members in the Little Rock area give me a shout...I am up north in Ward. Schmidtty, welcome brother! I'm no bike expert, but, I've seen a few guys with similar stories here on the forum. Our cars are top end monsters!! Congrats on the purchases!! - Rick
Welcome to the "C". Yea, the 600cc bikes are a good race. Now, a 750cc or higher, don't take the bait. lol
