hmmm I agree, when it is 3:00am on the game the view is dark, but that is what makes the game. It gives you the real feel of night time. lol The cars even lose headlights if you hit something head on.
i havent played it yet, but i played the past GTAs. i must be the only guy in my generation who never really got into it. if i need a stress releaser, ill play counterstrike source. thats pretty much all the killing i can take.
hmm it may be the connection of your PS3 to your tv. Mine is hooked up through HMI, so I am getting true HD quality...
maybe we just got a bad copy or something. i dunno. i'm gonna pick it up for xbox anyway, from what i hear the online play is insane. xbox apparently has some boards and other features that you only get with xbox. and it's gotta be good, GTA officially took over as the most popular online game (it took it from COD4, which was #1 from the week it came out until now).
prob cause 1080i isnt true hd. 1080p would be. you still should have a good image though, i would swap out your cables.
haha, it seems we always come back to a debate. i would love to meet you sometime, see if we are really this alike. while 1080i is a hd mode, it isnt considered "true hd", just like 720 isnt considered. since i do this for a hobby ill give you a bit of a rundown on the diff between the two. 1080i = interlaced or non-progressive scan 1080p = progressive scan interlaced means the image on your screen gets pushed to the screen in an odd lines first, then a bit later, even lines are shown in the image. what this does is cause the image to be a bit grainy, lack the bright color, etc that was originally how the movie/game/show was meant to be shown. in a progressive scan tv (1080p) all lines are shown sequentially in a single pass rather than broken up in an interlaced tv. this means that the video will appear smoother, with a sharper image and vibrant colors in a busy movie/game/show. basically, if there is a lot going on at the same time, a 1080p tv will look a hell of a lot better than a 1080i tv. this matters little because unless youre like me and need all the newest toys, the only time youll notice a diff is if you watch a lot of sports or if you run a bluray player. haha, or you are really like me and hook up a PC to your computer with a bluray drive. when i used to work for magnolia, we would be always on the cutting edge. its funny now though that after i specifically worked for a retailer that i could get an awesome employee discount at, i get better discounts now with a hookup from a repair center.
I got a DVDO iScan Plus line doubler about 10 years ago to go with my Toshiba cinema series rear projection monitor. You could get one of those to turn the i into p.
