Well last weekend I drove down to Atco and got a whole 2 passes......first pass spun like hell,second pass ran a 12.2@110 on a 1.71 60'.......not bad but I know she has more in her.I doubt I will be able to hit the track again before the new heads and intake go on.I am hoping to see a very large gain once this motor can breath properly. The heads will be ported 2009' 5.7 .......... The compression ratio when done will be approxamately 10.8 and these heads have already been proven to outflow a ported 6.1 head......the valves are larger than the 03-08 5.7 head but a tick smaller than the 6.1.This combined with a ported 6.1 intake and larger TB should give a top end gain that is pretty signifigant without a loss of bottom end torque.

So theres a best of 12.01@112 on the current set up.The heads are almost done.The 6.1 intake is almost done.And my girlfriend(witchywndy) got me this for my birthday..... Going from an almost stock 5.7 head,intake and TB to a set of heads that flows over 365cfm with a ported 6.1 intake and a 90mm should see some pretty incredible gains.....I am expecting at least a half second in ET.

Didn't Trojan run an 11.97 at Firebird? He's got your my at least a .10th with weight difference Erik, me too. lol
yeah Hal,and in 2000' worse air....BUT,Trojan had PPP Stage 3 heads and a 6.1 Intake on the car.It was much better breathing back then.Now it has a 5.7 intake and a set of HOP special (read stock) heads.I was laying down 1/8th mile times in the mid 7's on the motor and pulling 1.63 60' times,hanging with 11.5 sec 426's through the 1/8th and then the car would fall on it's face.The cam/head 6.1's were running a hair slower than me et wise but were laying down 6mph more.THESE HEADS AND INTAKE GOTS TO GO!
