Got a new set of Vredesteins today and a spare set of rims and 315/35/20 for the rear to use on track days. They had a KMC Nova Rim that is 20X10 With a 18mm Off set. We dry fit the rim and it fit just barely about 1/6" Between the spoke and the caliper we then mounted the tire on the rim and it cleared the wheel well once the car was on the ground. Should I put a small spacer to get it out alittle more from the caliper? They seaid that the rim shouldn't flex.
the general rule is that if a credit card can clear you are fine. I tried those same wheels in a different finish, they needed 6mm spacers up front and 3mm for the rear. This was after I was guaranteed to fit correctly. I refuse to run spacers.
Their is credit card clearance between caliper and spoke. I'm only running this rim and tire on the rear on track day.
