The CP9180 is what I JUST used for free at AUTOZONE...its the tool they use on customer cars...it can delete and reset codes...but its lists for $180.

Gonna look to see if I can get it cheaper.

Some of the Actron units even offer datalogging and graphing...schweeeeet...

    Tell Hemi~C I said Hi...
gotta get that boy to Georgia someday...

    you sure can....

but i got it for other cars as well...in total, if you count all the ones between me and Jesse's family....we have 13...and since my family isnt exactly what i'd call "prompt" at getting their cars in for service (which is ridiculous cause Mercedes gives you a loaner and will even pick it up for you and drop off the loaner for our dealership)....they dont exactly jump on top of things....this way...i can plug in to whoevers car, and see what code is being thrown....

plus its just easier...i can plug this into my car...and it has a in tool code look up feature which tells me exactly what code i am throwing....which i like...helps people like me who are not as sooper smart as you guys LOL

Ummm, I think the Predator will datalog (and read and clear codes?) on any OBD-II car at any time -- whether it's locked to some other car for tuning or not.
Having the automatic on-board lookup for the code description is very nice though.

That's my understand (with logging). Except you'll have to go lookup "P0305" to see what it means.

Interesting....meh...already got it...and this way my Predator can be limited to the SRT and this for others....

I should look to see if this tool can tell me if my car is in the "Ready State"

the biggest issue i had when getting the SRT inspected was...even though i had no CEL's...my car didnt hit "ready state" until x number of miles....maybe this can help me tell?...ill have to look

Don't look now! Just figure it can probably do it and wait until you're a couple weeks overdue for the inspection.
