Welcome bro first off! 2nd, I totally understand bout the "safety" thing as far as cops are concerned but ... well, I'm not gonna argue other than to say that it's not illegal in all states so ...

Oh, btw, you're looking at a good time to pick up an SRT8, prices have really dropped recently and seem to keep on going down, I have no doubt you'll find a great ride at a great price! Be sure to post up pix once you get one!!

HEY, don't let anyone do that, that's MY job!!!!:shifty:

I'd chime in but the OP is an ignorant ass.

Do you really think we can STOP murders? We have just as much chance on rolling up on a crime in progress. IN FACT, you probably have a better chance on seeing a crime in progress since my patrol vehicle has POLICE written all over it. Get real. You knew damn well putting tint on your car was AGAINST the law. You gotta pay to play, no?

While I don't pull people over for tint in SC you people would be surprised at how many CRIMINALS are arrested from TRAFFIC STOPS.

So, the whole don't you have anything better to do? Well, NO? On my 12 hour shift I already patroled the 'hood 100x, god forbid I wanna have some fun and pull a car over for BREAKING THE LAW. AND by the way, I don't eat donuts... nor do any cops I work with... in fact, there isn't even a DD or KK in my area.

dont lie man, you know you would eat mad donuts if you had a dd or kk in your patrol area.

    :bigwink:

i know that i pay to play, but it helps to know cops who dont give a shit about the insignificant.

We are. He parked behind the car and when he got out the guy started shooting. It really was a lucky shot because most street thugs haven't a clue how to shoot. All they need is one hit though.

Kevan(Mr VP of JEMFEST!!!) I want to sell my Daytona(Ram) that I just got a few months ago. Its a great truck but you can't do anything to the engine because of all the computer bs.

Also, I have heard of officers getting seriously scolded for being seen at KK. Image is a huge deal to our chief. You will never see me eat one while on duty but I do like them.

Hey bro. The highlighted area above is exactly why dirtlips are so successful in crook on cop gunfights, believe it or not. The rationale is that whereas we're taught to aim, trigger control, front sight, yada yada yada, shitheads POINT and shoot... you know as well as the rest of us that in close quarters gunslinging, pointing is usually all that is needed. Sure, we practice point shooting, etc. but what's ground into our heads during quals?!?! SCORES.

Survival shooting is obviously different that punching holes in paper.

Also, shitheads have reported that they've been in multiple gunfights before incarceration... most LEOs, we'll luckily never get into one. EXPERIENCE in gunfights is another reason.

Let alone the surpise factors involved. Action quicker than reaction, etc.

We and our armed forces brethern will always be at a disadvantage so long as we're hampered by politically correct politicians conjuring up BS laws and rules of engagement.

Be safe out there... rookie! LMAO!

Believe me, if you carry a gun for work be it military or LE, you'll go nuts at some point. Look at the EQ, for example.

While the above is true, some laws that make sense aren't necessarily universally enacted. Jessica's Law for example.

So whats the tidbit of choice?

Hey Boot you ain't out of the academy yet.. so know your role ...

I have been "retired" after putting in my full ride in LA (So Cal not the state) and it comes down to a lot of things... ofc safety is one.. but this biggest is the deceased visibility the operator has to the immediate sides of their vehicle especially at night.. and the impairment it creates..

I say leave the tint on more, pc to pull someone over, and see what falls out... just like no front plates, tinted tail lights, unauthorized lighting (lots of examples that don't meet the DOT grade).. loud music, vehicle too high, vehicle too low, tires too small for the vehicle (remember the cruisn days of the 80's... now you won't your too young).. tires exceeding the width of the fender well.. almost modified anything.. wearing sunglasses at night.. ear piece frame too wide on the sun glasses..hell I could go on forever.. hey if noting comes out of it and the people in the vehicle check .. let go with a warning or fix it ticket.. the get a little up tight.. then write until they calm down...

    My advice to you;
learn everything you can to become proficient at your chosen profession..
be respectful until it is time not to be.. then do what needs to be done..
its not you the people dislike, it is your uniform and the authority the people placed under your control,..
better tried by 12 than carried by 6..
come home safe every night and tell your family you love them..
and know when it is time to get out... then become a crotchy old man remembering their war stories and about how we did things back in the day..

Heh heh....I *thought* that was you from the RB.org site.

If you want uber-secret computers, pick up an SRT-10.
The only thing harder than getting into the Viper engine computers is getting Michael Richards a time slot at the Apollo.

every single point in this post is right on the money. i shoot with the chp here in oakland every fri night. it just blows me away how they are trained to shoot. my grandfather taught me (marine), im a pretty damn good shot and mostly use my hand eye coordination. i rarely sight in a target.

plus, if i were a leo, id be using crimson trace...just like i do with my current firearms.

chad - like kris (srt8u) said earlier in this thread, welcome to the club!!!! hahahahahaha i was pulled over on my birthday back in feb. for my windshield and front window tint. just pay the fine and move on. i have no intention on removing the film. it is actually cheaper to pay the fine, then take it off, pay the lesser amount for fixing it, then having it redone. i went over two years without issues!!!! just drive with the sunroof interior panel open so the sun shines through the moonroof. this will put more light inside the car and make the windshield look less tinted!!! lol
