well.. i went to install my hardpipe and HKS (that i got from FIGs, THANKS MAN) and when i was taking the stock pipe off, it seemed like something metal was inside the pipe, and almost in the TB. come to find out, it was a smashed ebay tornado fuel saver thing, that was SIDEWAYS lodged in my TB...... had no idea it was in there, and all i have to say is the previous/first owner was a moron.. the 'fuel saver' was actually smashed out of round, like he bent it to get it to fit in the charge pipe.. heres a pic of the culprit.. i usually get about 100-110 miles to the half tank mark, averaging around 210 miles per tank.. always thought it was terrible (mostly city driving) right now, i am just under 3/4 tank and have 98 miles on it. discuss.. and yes, this thing was half in my TB, lodged sideways..
sure it was someone else who put that in there...finally gave up on the tornado fuel saver thingy did ya.
honestly, i never would put that piece of shit on any car.. even a ford tempo... i was taking the stock charge pipe off to put the new hard pipe on, and that was wedged part way in the TB on like a 45 degree angle.
i was there helping with the install. my small hands were needed to remove the rice plate. it was so funny, he was cursing at that thing while it was sitting on the ground picking it up and throwing it back down. i heard b!tching about it every 3-5 mins  Id be pissed too if i had found something like that in the Cruiser when we bought it.
when i was getting the stock pipe off, i actually thought it was part of the stock charge pipe. (some pipes have molded in steel to help keep the pipe on so it snaps into place. i cut into my charge pipe with a knife cuz i was wedged on, and when i realized what it actually was i yanked it up and threw it on my porch. heres how it was in the pipe.. TB> tornado like this \ (almost sideways > charge pipe. it wans't in far enough to hit the butterfly valve since it tapers down.
Holy crap! I would be pissed off if I found something like that on my car! How's the pipe with the HKS?
Dahahahaha. You're lucky that thing didn't turn all the way around. It would have thrown you into reverse at about 100 mph!
lol quick ^^^ figs, the pipe is real nice.. no leaks, works great.. un hooked the silonoid to the BOV. also installed my forge WGA at same time, and off PCM controlled boost.. feels like a whole new car.. let me clarify.. nevin installed the forge WGA while i sat back and bitched about the stupid BOV bolts and the retarded turbonator thing. i really love pull type BOVs. a lot less surge when shifting under slight vac.
 good times! his hands were too fat to remove the Blue plate bolts and well what can i say my left hand is alot more smaller then my right and also re routed all the lines.
