Being newer to the "forum" world than most I have a question. I'm having an issue on another site (no, not any lx one) about TSBs ... they don't have a place for them. I'd like to find out what TSBs there are for my other car but this site has no section for them or even sticky, you have to search to find them. I thought that was pretty stupid and when I mentioned that someone might want to help out by having a place for TSBs (and recalls) that's easily accessible for the members I was brutally rebuffed and told "go search newb!" Rather rudely too I might add. So am I wrong for wanting a section for TSBs or has the C spoiled me?? lol (I should mention numerous members posted up supporting my idea on this other site)
Its a good idea but would require someone to keep up with it and possibly have inside dealer access to what TSB's are out there. Resumespeed has wkjeeps.com with all the Jeep TSB and its great
The funny thing is there's NOT very many TBSs with this manufacturer, literally a fraction of what there are for the LXs so it would be very easy to gather up and maintain current. Also funny is one member posted up his findings of pretty much all the tsbs for my year vehicle and said the mods just won't sticky it. He didn't know why. Searching was just a waste of my time as this site's search engine SUCKS DONKEY D$%^!!!!
Well that sucks! I hate the "Search" card that everyone throws at you when you have a question. And to answer your question, YES the Connection has spoiled you!
Exactly what Wade said. And to add to this, ResumeSpeed has implemented TSB's for WK, LX, and the Calibers. Truth be told, the TSB section was not our idea, this was started on Ekools sites, particularly the 300c forum. Sounds to me like the ownership of this other forum is completely blind to creating a better and more accessible site for its members. That is too bad.
That's all I was thinking Ron, making something that's kinda important to most people (that's sarcasm there, lol) easier to find. Other forums have TSBs listed just like here and the OC and LXforums, it makes it nice and easy for members, but not this site. Not even a sticky or even a link to another site with them, nothing. I guess what really irked me was instead of saying something like "sorry, we can't do that" or "we're not able to provide that" one of the mods posted up a STICKY for newbs saying to SEARCH! Sheesh, whatever, don't think I'll be going back there too often with that attitude. The site sucks too, it's not very good, why they gotta have that attitude?!?! I'VE BEEN SPOILED BY THE C!!!!!!! (thanks Ron, lol!)
I luv ya too Marky, you know it! I was just wondering if I was way off base asking for a TSB section on this other site, I didn't think I was but now I'm sure of it.:ilovesrtc:
How about a TSB thread sticky'd to the top of each main topic area? Also, for the title you need to use the FULL term: TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS. This helps those searching because most searches won't let you do 3 letters or less.
That's what I was thinking at a minimum, sticky them to an area somewhere, what's the big deal ... but no. And searching sux cause the one guy that I said that posted up all the TSBs for my year vehicle had them under a thread titled "TSBs" so doing the full name search wouldn't have helped. And the 3 letter word search doesn't work. You see my frustration!! Ah Ron, lol, leave it to you to pry, I was hoping not to say. Let's just say it's a foriegn make of vehicle ... somewhere to the east, lol! HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Oh man my sides hurt laughing so hard at that one, thanks bro! I wonder what TSBs dwarfs need .... LMAO!!!!!!! Hahahhaa, wrong and wrong, not american buddy ... and that's all I got to say about that. lol!
Start a thread over there. "Interest in purchasing TSB list?" Say you have complete TSB lists and you're thinking of selling them $5 a copy and you're checking for interest... That should either bring the issue to the forefront (or get you banned).
LMAO!!!! Banned for sure, I already got drilled just for suggesting a TSB thing IN THEIR FEEDBACK FORUM!! Apparently their feedback forum is just for looks, lol!
