Just completed a local install on a 426 powered SRT-8.

We took the opportunity to take lots of pictures of the process, and I'll upload those in a bit.

Once we completed the first side and took all of the pictures, we put the camera away and timed the process for completely removing the stock suspension, and installing and adjusting the coilovers.

From the moment we first raised the jack, until the moment we dropped it back down, took only 45 minutes for the complete install.

That includes jacking the car up, removing the tire, removing the stock suspension, installing the coilovers, adjusting the ride height, putting the tire back on, and dropping the car back to the ground.

    45 minutes

    1 floor jack
    1 jack stand
    hand tools

    That's it!!!

    Pics to follow.

    1) lift car and support with jackstand.
    2) raise floorjack up under lower control arm.
    3) Remove bolt holding inner end of control arm (inboard of spring location.
    4) Drop floor jack, and spring pushes lower control arm down and out of the way.

Unbolt lower bolt on shock, unbolt top two bolts on shock. Spring practically falls out, remove rubber spring mounts by hand, remove shock by hand.

Now that there's no spring putting pressure on the lower control arm, you just lift it back in place by hand and reinstall bolt.

    Easy as pie.

i am going to order these and need some direction on what springs are going to be the best to use. i am looking for 1/4 mile traction with the same handling as stock (srt8 charger) and maybe a smoother ride around town.

I talk with each person to help make spring choice recommendations. It depends on if you want just one set for all purposes, or a daily driving set and a race set. It also depends on how much horsepower your car has. PM me or call to discuss when you're ready.

Those aren't coilovers - I would not use my method for installing the eibachs.
