After developing the CNC ported 09 5.7 heads both for standard 09 Eagle Hemis and a large chamber version to bolt on the older 03 to 08 engines, we set about finding an unsuspecting guinea pig that's willing to put their baby under the knife to be the first to run 09 ported heads and a custom VVT performance cam. This post is because I found that guinea pig in a local 09 Challanger and now we're going to install our CNC ported heads and VVT camshaft. Also, since the 09 head shares a similar D port opening to the 6.1 head were going to use the 6.1 stock exhaust manifolds and SRT exhaust to complete the install. The first part of this was to get some baseline numbers on the challanger. Wow, surprisingly the stock engine with nothing but a CAI made 345 HP and 355 TQ. So the mods are really going to have to work well to get a decent gain on that. Now it's time to install the heads, cam and 6.1 exhaust.
