Want to send a shout out to everyone at Pedders for my Track II Kit,and all the guys at HMS for installing the Kit. 42 bushings, Sways, End Links, Coil Overs, Rear springs/struts. They had my car for 2 days like they said, treated me like a Rock Star, and did everything right the first time. :thumb2::thumb2: Hav'nt got to drive it much but the little I have has been amazing, Im really digging this car, It Handles ALOT better then my "C" hands down. Im finally getting used to it, OMFG! is alls I can say!!!:worthy: The weight balance is what was tripping me out, but I was used to my "C", My "C" is way faster for now, but the Chally out handles it all day long!:search::search: I cant wait to get this slot car on a road course with some real tires. Pedders Install. The Differences of the Chally suspension from the other LX's are below. Tubular Trailing arms Rear Bilstiens, Springs
from the way it sounds you can't lose with the full kit. I was on the fence with pedders and kw.. Went the cheaper route. If I were into road courses pedders would've been a no brainer. Be sure to post your full UNBiASED opinion.
Well I can honestly say that THIS car drives great!!! I drove this one for about 70 miles on the freeway and it is smooth!!! Nice rebound and the steering has no play in it all!
I was thinking of being the test car on the east coast. I looked at all the pictures with great interest. Trojan you did the drag set up with the raised rear correct? I was a little worried about it feeling to hard all the time. Like on the M5 I can use the electronic dampening control to soften if I want. It looked very through. I have to call them tomorrow. One question is why they left independent rear suspension instead of going to coil overs? Good luck with it and maybe I will be guinea pig number two:dance4:
I haven't heard anything bad about Pedders stuff. I bet it handles 3x better than stock too. It's a major step in better suspension handling and well worth the results. I'm envious! Congrats to ya!
Those tubular trailing arms will work for any LX and they are beefy sumbitches compared to the toothpicks that are back there stock. Santa Claus got me a set last year and they are a mod I would recommend to anyone putting down extra power. My stockers were bent when they came off.
2510, They put the drag set up on for a test of it, Its just a larger spring, Then it was removed for the standard Track II spring which will be my daily driver/Road Course set up, When the car goes to the drags it will simply get a spring swap, As for the rear coil overs, They are not yet released due to some more research being done. BUT, otoh The way my car is set up I want nothing changed. My car was totally balanced on all 4 corners with scales and set up on a scale of 1-10, 10 being very aggresive Im set up as a 8. I can drive in very deep and still get off the corner pulling hard as Fuck! Right on thats how I feel. agreed, The new ones are way better, stronger. :thanks: As a tidbit the car drives amazing, Is it to stiff? No. Is it bumpier then stock ? No. Is there anything I dont like about it? No. Does it out handle my 300C that has KWV2's, Hotckis sways. All day long.
X2 On the Suspension Have the Track II myself and had a track day yesterday, they had a Viper club blend in with us and my Charger was getting point by all day long, I have some vid I will post on another thread.
Get Down Super Bee, Thats what Mike White was telling me, There Stock SRT8 with full pedders was pulling on vipers thru turns. Hard to believe as I remember getting passed hard in turn 6 thru 7 at Willows from a viper, So Im real excited to track the Chally. After Sema its on. Its super informative to have a tracked 300 on K dubs and sways in my arsenal to compare this to. And like I said the 300's got nothing on the Chally as far as handling. So far this pedders feels like a home run to me.
