I've read a few posts on here and other sites in which people say that the 300C dosen't actually have an alarm. I've also heard other people say it does. I know that the doors lock/unlock and the lights flash when I hit the lock/unlock button on my car. I also have 2 flashing lights on the interior. One is red and the other is blue. Since I bought this car used, I'll assume that one of the lights is aftermarket. Does anyone know if the remote I mentioned about is an actuall alarm or does it just lock/unlock the doors? This is for an 07' 300C SRT8. Thanks.
If the red flashing light is in the cluster inside the temp gauge then it's probably factory. The blue one isn't. They do come with a factory alarm but it might be bundled with one of the 3 option packages. The way to find out is get in the car, use the key fob to lock the doors, then use the door handle to open the door. If the horn starts beeping it's a factory alarm. (I think you turn it off by unlocking and locking the doors again with the fob?)
I checked, and the red light is in the instrument cluster. Maybe the blue one is an aftermarket alarm. Either way, they both turn on/off with the factory remote. Tomorrow I'll check and see if it goes off, per your recommendations. Thanks.
