    Who's got it and how big a shot??? Mods, can we make this sticky??


    I have:
    Zex kit, bottle opener, with the racing kit. Will be using the 125 shot. :thumb:

    I'm here. Zex kit, zex remote opener, zex heater, MSD digital window switch, NGK iridium 6 plugs, B&G nitrous tune, 125-150 shot.

    #62 Nitrous Jet #29 Fuel jet, 125RWHP on Dyno with a low 11:1 A/F ratio. Plate system with big solenoids, FJO progressive controller, CMR Tune with stock heat range non platinium plugs

    Has anyone experienced their vehicle going into limp mode when it attempts to shift from gear to gear when on Nos?

    Everybody I have spoke to says to make sure and disarm during shifts. Mine is set to disarm at 5950, but I imagine since Im full throttle as soon as the rpm falls below 5950 the Nitrous is back on. I hooked a small light to arm whenever solenoids are on and will monitor if they are on as soon as rpms do drop below 5950.

    Nitrous Outlet 175 wet plate shot. on from 1 truck length out to the finish.

    New set-up yet to be tested......

    Nitrous Outlet Plate.....with a 100 shot, start to finish.

    Another 100 shot on a plumed fogger nozzle from 2 lenths out to finish
    letting off button in between shifts.

    I am attempting to trick the 580newton computer meter, and squeak out
    a slightly better ET.

    I am truly hoping for [email protected] with a hooking track and good 55* or less temperature with good humidity.:pleasantry:

    200 shot nos big shot kit. Going up to a 250 when I get some race gas. All the toys with out an auto opener

    I was under the immpression that with the Zex kit, you can just keep the throttle floored the entire way down the track. Not worrying about the shifts.

    My last outing. I had my window switch set at 3800 and 6700. My rev-limiter is 7,000, shifts at 6,600. Worked perfect.

    For the record, I know nothing about Zex. Now onto a dangerous ASSumption, Since Zex is connected to the TPS I would bet that your spraying juice/fuel during shifts. (Same as me)My previous vehicles have all been standard or had the ability to shift faster than my Jeep. I havent tried but have been told by several, the Jeep will rev faster than the computer has the ability to shift. In otherwords the rev limiter will kick in cutting fuel but juice is still flowing, this is very dangerous.

    Goahead rub it in :mad2: I wish somebody would figure out our electrical issues preventing us reving that high:help:

    I hope thats not the case with the Zex kit. It would be kind of stupid if they made a full throttle switch, but during upshifts you had to let off the gas.

    IMO- In this post it doesnt matter what you have as long as its a 6.1, we all share the same motors that will eventually take a dump around the same levels. So offer up your help and suggestions:dribble:

    Well Blown.....they can't say you didn't warn them.

    Here goes:

    15 pound bottle with larger line running from trunk to engine bay.
    Bottle heater with presurestat to maintain pressure at 970 psi (my choice of pressure).
    Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump to increase fuel flow
    Digital nitrous pressure gauge mounted in sunglass holder
    Wideband AFR gauge mounted in sunglass holder
    Switch set mounted in cupholder
    ZEX kit, setup for 175 HP shot
    Custom kit with extra NOS Powershot type solenoids for extra staging of nitrous - set up for 100 HP shot
    MSD RPM window switch
    TPP Dual RPM window switch
    Fuel pressure safety switch
    Iridium plugs one step colder than stock
    108 octane Torco unleaded racing gas
    Predator tuned

    Solenoids and RPM window switches wired and programed to create:
    100HP shot at 2500 rpm
    175HP total shot by 3500 rpm
    275 HP total shot around 5500 rpm
