I recently scent my intake to have it ported and polished inertia done an outstanding job on the intake. I recently tried to make a pass in the car and it sound like the car wasn't getting enough fuel or something. The only thing I done was install the intake. I have a diablo trinity are their any setting I should have changed? A few people said that the car was busting out I didn't understand the term so maybe someone reading this my understand that term and can help me. The car was in a body shop for a while but I made sure I put fresh gas in the car before I made a pass or anything.

A 727, what the heck ya got man, fess up?. How in the world are you running factory ECU with that tranny?? :)

Ok, I kinda of doubt just the ported intake took you over the top, but you're running LT's. And the conbination could have you pretty lean. So try data logging knock retard and add fuel where you see knock. It must be pretty bad if bystanders noticed. So maybe you should start with 10% across the board. And if you are still seeing knock, add fuel in those areas, if not, back it off 2% at a time till you're in the sweet spot of it just pulling .5 - 1 degree of knock.

The way the 727 and the stock ecu work. I order a manuel 5.7 ecu from hotwireauto had that ecu flashed with the 6.1 setting by dave at b&g chrysler performance. Also had a custom wiring harness made by hotwireauto to make the 6.1 perform. Everyone know all mopar small blocks will bolt up to a 727 torqueflight

Very cool!, Dave has always been good to go with the original software, of course, he's the only guy to have it too.

And as a matter of fact, I'm very aware it bolts right up.

If you look real close, we powder coated it silver. :bigwink:

How do you like the hotwire set-up? I'm putting a 6.1L in a kit car and haven't decided on the engine management system yet. How do you tune the hotwire ECU?

I think the setup is outstanding it's designed to hide all the lines so if your doing a show car it will be great if your doing a race car your still good to go. The setup is also designed if your not sure where everything should connect the lines will only go to one location so u can't jack this up. The ECU can be program with a trinty or a predator either one is good to go. I had dave at B&G program my ECU but I could have done it myself but i'm not that comfortable with my trinty yet.

Have you hooked a code reader up to it? What I'm wondering is if there are a ton of codes for lost communication with the other modules (if its an OEM controller)?

Actually no. Time consuming yes. Tons of one off custom stuff as you can imagine. But really simple. Instead if even attemping to deal with the factory PCM, we used a AEM EMS. BUT that particular system was desgined exclusively for this motor with the 16 injectors in a joint effort between CMW (the motor builder) and AEM. The remainder, we just went old school. BTW, the motors been running for a long time. Has had well over a hundred engine dyno pulls, so no problems there.

Now the last little bits will be the body control module for operation of the windows and seats and lock. There again, a little bit of effort, but very doable.

It wasn't finished for SEMA and I now have three cars in here that need to go bye bye. So I'm thinking in two weeks, I'll get back on this one. I want it done by Christmas and out the door.

No, Dave can turn off communication functions and or manipulate any of the modules to mimic whatever you want. Stay away from the factory ECU from the LX's. The cheapest route is to get a PCM from a 03-05 truck and use it. It has no body control functions nor TCM.

So is hotwire Dave's company? This option is looking very attractive as compared to a $3k FAST system or even the less expensive AEM.

No, hot wire is a couple guys in Indiana (I think). I delt with them on that retro build that got sent to me for trouble shooting. They had built the wiring harness. Good guys. $, don't know bud.

Just in case anyone else wants to know, I just got a response from Hotwire. They build their own harnesses and use an 05 HEMI Ram pick-up PCM for their kit.

"The ECU we sell/suggest is a stock 2005 Ram programming, it will have some
emissions codes but they do not affect performance. We do have a 6.1L
Diablosport custom tune to go in the 2005 ECU, it has a Stock 6.1L, a 91
octane performance tune and a 93 octane performance tune.

    Harness: $950.00
ECU (new w/ OEM programming): $670.00
    6.1L Diablosport $425.00"

So, it looks like you can get up and running for $1620 plus the cost of a tune/Predator. A very reasonable deal vs the FAST system ($3k), but its not end-user tuneable.

On my trinity I have several codes but my only issues is I don't know what they mean or where to begin looking up the codes. I posted a couple comment on diablo but it hard to get a responds from them they stay busy but its understandable I can say this none of the codes have stop the car from running and I have race the car several times and haven't had any issues until I ported the intake but I now have a solution to that issues.

    or post them :)

There aren't many codes that will stop the car from running or put it in Limp Mode. but that doesn't mean they're always minor. Like misfires at the wrong time, etc.

    Opinion

i have attach a couple files to this post. The transmission, motor mounts, dip stick, and few other items i didn't need for this build. My question is do you think people would want the items. I purshase everything from a pick and parts. So i really can't speak on the condition of the items i know the motor is strong from installing it in my car. What do you think should i post it in the classified?

Sure, you can post them up for sale in the classifieds. Are you using the motor mount plates that are on the block? If not, I'll take them. I need a few other things too, but I imagine you'll also need them.
