Kevan and I have been doing some dress up on my 5.7L hemi Rumble Bee. We are just getting started but we are 100% done with the air intake tube and the Fuse box cover. We still plan on powder coating all the brackets for the cold air intake black as well as the air box. And powder coating the valve covers hemi orange to match and painting all the caps and dip sticks that are still yellow from the factory. I have to give HUGE props to Kevan for all the help! Sorry for the long post. HAHAHA Heat Dry!
You're welcome. I'm glad to see you found the " . " key on your computer! I think that the HEMI Orange accent pieces will really help the engine bay 'pop' when the hood gets opened. All body color-matched can be nice, but I like the "old school meets new school" theme going on. Once the rest of the parts are painted and powder coated, it will be awesome. BTW- even after clean-up, my garage floor still has an orange tint to it. LOL
Fantastic Keith. really does "Pop" with the Orange. Glad you have a great frined in Kevan to assist. What a GREAT pair you two make... lol In painting the engine bay parts that is....
Actually, the fumes weren't that bad. We'd paint with the garage door closed, then open it immediately after. We did that for each coat. It worked out well, with very little fume-age. I did, however, have HEMI Orange boogers for 2 days afterwards.
Yeah it was some smelly paint. When we did the fuse box cover in the basement it was bad. We would paint then hang out upstaires with a fan and the windows open in the basement. The garage worked 100% better for the intake.
Heh heh....Keith has a whole folder of "2 Thumbs Up" pics. Might have to start a new thread for all those.
